ACTIVITIES


Students – it’s NOW time to sign up for WINTER SPORTS!!!!  Even if you are currently in a sport and are going to be doing a winter sport – you need to sign up now!!  Come to the Activities Office to make sure you have all of the required paperwork needed to sign up.  Don’t wait until the last day!  The following sports start on November 11th – Women’s Basketball, Men’s and Women’s Bowling, and Men’s Swimming.  The following sports start on November 18th – Men’s Basketball, Wrestling, and Winter Cheerleading (yes, cheerleaders you need to let us know if you’re switching to winter cheer!!).


Don’t WAIT – get signed up NOW for Winter Sports in the Activities Office!!


There will be a Bowling meeting Thursday, November 7th at 6:00p.m in the Cafeteria.  Any questions contact Ken Gerken.

This is an invitation for you to come to Open Wrestling, on Tuesdays and Thursdays @ 6pm.  We wrestle to improve or just try it out.  This year will go to 7 separate girls only tournaments.  Any questions ask Coach Connolly in Room E10. 

There will be a Men’s Basketball informational meeting on Tuesday, November 5th at 2:30p.m. in the school cafeteria.  The meeting will take approximately 30 minutes. 

See Coach Eimers for entry forms for the 17th Annual 3-on-3 Hoopfest on Friday, November 8th.  Deadline for signing up is November 5th. 

STUDENT NEWS

Dubuque Senior's Science Bowl team will begin practicing on Wednesdays from 2:30-3:30 in room B234. Science Bowl puts a competitive edge on practicing science and math topics - no need to be an expert!  Each practice guarantees that you will leave having learned something new!  New members are always welcome, so please join us when your schedule allows, or come consistently to be considered for the travel team.  Please see Mr. Gates or Mrs. Fischer for more information.

Congratulations to all music students who auditioned for All-State this past Saturday, and especially Cece Brown, Addison Lueken, Corinne Scheidecker, and Olivia Young for being accepted into the All-State Orchestra.


 COUNSELORS OFFICE


Juniors & Seniors:  The School Counseling Office will be visiting Kirkwood Community College on November 7th, grab a permission slip in the Counseling Office if interested. 

Miracle Car Wash is now hiring for Part-time employment.  They will work with all schedules.  Please apply in person at the Holliday Dr. location.  Stop in the Counseling Office for more details. 

Timmerman’s Supper Club is now hiring part-time with flexible hours, night & weekends.  Stop in the Counselors Office for more details.
