STUDENT NEWS

Students, who signed up to take the PSAT test on Wednesday, Please be in the LRC by 7:35.  If you eat 4th period lunch you will head to lunch as soon as testing has completed around 11:00.  You will be able to stay in the cafeteria through 5th period if needed. 

The Lost and Found has many items that need to be claimed, from clothing to water bottles.  Stop by the Intervention Room to claim your lost those items.

Key Club will be meeting every Tuesday morning in A203B at 7:10.  Come learn about how to serve your school and your community through volunteer and leadership opportunities. 
 ACTIVITIES


Students – it’s NOW time to sign up for WINTER SPORTS!!!!  Even if you are currently in a sport and are going to be doing a winter sport – you need to sign up now!!  Come to the Activities Office to make sure you have all of the required paperwork needed to sign up.  Don’t wait until the last day!  The following sports start on November 11th – Women’s Basketball, Men’s and Women’s Bowling, and Men’s Swimming.  The following sports start on November 18th – Men’s Basketball, Wrestling, and Winter Cheerleading (yes, cheerleaders you need to let us know if you’re switching to winter cheer!!).

Don’t WAIT – get signed up NOW for Winter Sports in the Activities Office!!

Do you have what it takes to CHEER on your RAMS ?  Are you LOUD and PROUD to be a RAM? 

There will be Cheerleading Tryouts to fill spots for the basketball and wrestling season.  You need to stop by the Activities Office to pick up tryout packets that are REQUIRED to be filled out before you can try out.

Tryouts will take place on October 15th from 3:30-6:00 in the wrestling room.  If you have any questions, stop by the Activities Office or contact Coach Mayberry. 



 COUNSELORS OFFICE 
Seniors ~  College Application Day is this Thursday, October 17th from 7:35-2:00.  Stop by the counseling office to work on college applications, get your college search started, or work on FAFSA and scholarship applications.  We will have college reps, food, prizes and giveaways available for those that attend.  Please get prior approval from your teachers to attend. 

Juniors & Seniors:  The School Counseling Office will be visiting Kirkwood Community College on November 7th, grab a permission slip in the Counseling Office if interested. 

Michels Arts and Crafts is now hiring, flexible hours around school schedules. Apply now online, more information in the Counseling Office.
