Each year, the IBA selects 8 Honor Bands in the following classes: one High School band in each class: 4A, 3A, 2A and 1A; two Junior High/Middle School bands, one Elementary band and one High School and/or Junior High Jazz Band. It is unique that both a high school band and a middle school band are selected from the same school district.
