STUDENT NEWS

NHS Dance Marathon:  Senior High School’s National Honor Society is hosting a dance marathon in conjunction with Loras College.  This event will feature music, food, giant jenga, and much more.  The marathon will be hold in the cafeteria from 6-9pm on April 5th.  Tickets and t-shirt to the dance each cost $5.00 at the door.  Beyond the fun-filled atmosphere, come showcase your RAMS Fam values of engagement, integrity, and respect by paying it forward as all proceeds will be donated to the University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital.  Join in on this mission – bring your energy and compassion to the dance floor. 

Attention writers and artists. The Dubuque Area Writers Guild is currently accepting submissions for their annual Gallery book project. Works of poetry, fiction, nonfiction, artwork and photography are all eligible. If interested, please see Mrs. Williams in A213 for details. Deadline is TODAY April 1st!"


If you have not ordered a yearbook, now is the time to do so!  Ordering closes at 11:59pm on March 31, 2019.  Books are $50 and can be purchased online through the student payment portal or by going directly to the business office during school hours.  The business office can accept cash or check.  If you have any questions, see Mrs. Jackman in E45. 

DRIVERS ED:  NICC is now accepting registration for driver's education sessions that begin in March and June.  Registration must be done through NICC.  Please stop by the Business Office or the Counseling Center for information on how to register with NICC.

Students of this year’s Graduating class.   

This year’s Senior High Awards Assembly will be on Monday May 20th, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. in the Senior High Auditorium.  We have a variety of scholarships (Memorial, Community/School, and Specific College Sponsored) that are available for our Senior High graduating students in the class of 2019.   

Applications were emailed to your parents last week.  If you did not see that email, please stop by The School Counseling Office to have an application sent to your email address.  There will be a sign up sheet that you will need to put your name and email address.  Mrs. Lawrence will then send you the electronic application to complete. 

You will need to fill out our application form electronically and electronically submit the completed PDF application to Mrs. Lawrence at llawrence@dbqschools.org DEALINE is TODAY, Wednesday March 20th, 2019 at 2:30 p.m. No late applications will be accepted.
