STUDENT NEWS

Dubuque Senior Girls Golf team will ranked #7th going into the state tournament were able to pull off a 5th place finish with a 733 two day total.

Placing for Senior was Abby Marting shooting a 85--79 for a two day total of 164 for a 3rd place finish.
She was followed by Breanna Felderman with an 87-87 for a two day total of 174 for a 9th place finish.

Followed by Claire Siegert with a 111-90 for a two-day total of 201, Ellie Akins with a 105-98 for a two day total of 203, Lillan Donath with a 102-112 for a two day total of 214, and Leah Sullivan with a 106-112 for a two day total of 218.

This was a great season followed by many of our local fans. Thanks so very much for all of your RAM fan support.

ACTIVITIES

Students – did you participate in a sport this year?  Did you get a padlock from the Activities Office?  If so, you NEED to return your lock to Mrs. Woodward in the Activities Office as soon as possible!  All lockers will be cleared out on June 6th, so please make sure you clean your athletic lockers out and return your locks.

The Gay Straight Alliance will hold their last meeting of the year on Thursday May 31 in E45 at 7:05am. We will be holding elections for next year's officers. Please come and be sure your vote is counted.

 ACTIVITIES

Students – did you participate in a sport this year?  Did you get a padlock from the Activities Office?  If so, you NEED to return your lock to Mrs. Woodward in the Activities Office as soon as possible!  All lockers will be cleared out on June 6th, so please make sure you clean your athletic lockers out and return your locks.


Girls Track:  Any sprinters who would like a lifting workout packet stop by A123 and see Coach Dolson. 

Any Volleyball player that is planning on playing Clarke League and has not received a form, please download and print it from the website. After completing the form and getting it signed, you can turn it into the activities office and it will be given to the coaches.

 Please have your forms turned in NO LATER than tomorrow Friday, June 1st.

Sophomores, If you took the Pre-Act Exam, you can pick up your results in room D152 any time during the school day.

In the event of another early release from school tomorrow, the Girls' XC Meeting will take place immediately following 7th period at 12pm tomorrow May 30th  At this meeting, we will outline summer training, sign up for the XC Leadership academy, and get a sneak peak at our brand new Ellipti-GO training bikes.  We are excited to see all returning runners and we welcome all new faces to our group!

All music Students performing for the Memorial Day Ceremony at Linwood Cemetery should report by 9:15am on Monday morning in our typical concert dress.  This includes all band students and vocal students performing the National Anthem.

The women’s RAMS won their golf regionals, giving them a state birth.

Leading the way for the RAMS and for the tournament was Abby Marting with a 74,
followed by her teammate, as the tournament second place winner was Breanna Felderman with an 82.  Followed by Claire Siegert with a 95 and Ellie Akins with a 103.

These 4 plus Lillian Donath and Leah Sullivan will play in the state meet on Tuesday and Wednesday of next week.

Good Luck to you all next week at the State meet.

RAMS Wrestling:  There will be a meeting TODAY, May 22nd at 2:30 in E10 Metals Room.  This is open to new and past wrestlers and managers.  Come get information and learn about being a Ram Wrestler!  If you cannot attend, contact Coach Connolly or Coach Kohl.

The DSHS Key Club will be holding a bake sale TODAY during all lunch periods.  Items will be priced at a dollar each and all the proceeds will be donated to the Marjory Stoneman Douglas Scholarship fund in memory of the victims of the February 14th shooting in Parkland Florida.  Come support this great cause and enjoy some delicious baked goods!
