CONGRATULATIONS: Congratulations to Cole Martioski and Aleana Cheatham who won the Intramural Free Throw Contest held last Thursday. Get your teams ready for Intramural Dodgeball coming up in April. Teams of six should be turned into Ms. Borgwardt.

SCHOLARSHIP: Scott Althoff was a 1997 Senior High graduate and a member of the Ram Baseball Squad. He died in a hit and run accident in 2002. A $500 scholarship has been established in his name. Applications for the scholarship can be picked-up from Mr. Fleming in room A-211 and needs to be returned to Mr. Fleming by Tuesday, April 13th.

CONGRATULATIONS: Congratulations to all of the band musicians on outstanding performances this past weekend at the Coe College Jazz Summit and the Dorian Honor Band Festival! Out of the 24 4A jazz bands at the Coe Jazz Band Festival our jazz band won an outstanding performance award and Adam O'Dell was named outstanding soloist in the Class 4A competition. Scoring well into the divisional I categories, our jazz band may be competing at the Iowa Jazz Championships in April in Des Moines. Congratulations to all of the jazz band members on a great accomplishment!
The Dorian Honor Band festival is made up of over 800 high school musicians from the upper mid-west states. The following Senior students were all participants in the solo competition at the Dorian Honor Band on Sunday and Monday. Austin Baugh on French Horn, Courtney Chaffee on Trombone, Jessica Larsen on Tenor Sax, Lily Brondyke on trombone, and Jonathan Fuller on trumpet. Out of the 147 soloists involved with the competition, two our students, Lily Brondyke and Jonathan Fuller received honorable mention. In addition, Courtney Chaffee and Jessica Larsen were featured soloists in the final concert with the Rondo Band on "Just a Closer Walk with Thee." Once again, congratulations to all of these students on their hard work and accomplishments in their representation of Senior High School! Kudos!

SPANISH CLUB OFFICERS: Spanish Club Officers are reminded that we will be meeting before school TODAY at 7:15 in E40. If you cannot attend, please contact Ms. Day. Members are also invited to come after school TODAY in E40 for our weekly Spanish Club meeting.

Out of the 24 4A jazz bands at the Coe Jazz Band Festival our jazz band won an outstanding performance award and Adam O'Dell was named outstanding soloist in the Class 4A competition. Scoring well into the divisional I categories, our jazz band may be competing at the Iowa Jazz Championships in April in Des Moines. Congratulations to all of the jazz band members on a great accomplishment!
The Dorian Honor Band festival is made up of over 800 high school musicians from the upper mid-west states. The following Senior students were all participants in the solo competition at the Dorian Honor Band on Sunday and Monday. Austin Baugh on French Horn, Courtney Chaffee on Trombone, Jessica Larsen on Tenor Sax, Lily Brondyke on trombone, and Jonathan Fuller on trumpet. Out of the 147 soloists involved with the competition, two our students, Lily Brondyke and Jonathan Fuller received honorable mention. In addition, Courtney Chaffee and Jessica Larsen were featured soloists in the final concert with the Rondo Band on "Just a Closer Walk with Thee." Once again, congratulations to all of these students on their hard work and accomplishments in their representation of Senior High School! Kudos!

SPANISH CLUB OFFICERS: Spanish Club Officers are reminded that we will be meeting before school this Thursday at 7:15 in E40. If you cannot attend, please contact Ms. Day. Members are also invited to come after school on Thursday in E40 for our weekly Spanish Club meeting.

INTRAMURAL: Please sign up your 3 on 3 teams for basketball with Ms. Borgwardt as soon as possible. The Intramural Tournament will be held this Thursday after school in the big gym.

TENNIS: There will be an organizational meeting for all girls interested in playing tennis for Senior this spring. The meeting will be Monday, March 8th at 2:30 p.m. in A217.

SADIE HAWKINS: Tickets are on sale in the business office for $6.00 per ticket. All guests need to be signed up in the business office prior to the dance. Dance starts at 8:30pm-11:00pm. Pictures begin at 5:30pm in the indoor track.

CONGRATULATIONS: Congratulations to the Rube Goldberg Team who earned third place out of 15 teams at the Wisconsin Regional in Milwaukee on Friday. Teams members included Rose Carroll, Christina Grimstad, Jeff Kasel, Ethan Meus, Emma Puls, Parker Sonstrom, Claire Spyrison, and Ashley Wildermuth. Way to go Rube Goldberg team.
