Do you need a quiet place to study? Someone to help you with a project? A place to take a test or quiz you missed? If so, please consider attending FAST this Friday, February 6th from 7:30-8:30 in the Senior library. Please see Mrs. Brokus with any questions.

Any student who signed up for an Academic or Athletic Wellness Exemption for next year to pick up an exemption form in the Main Office. These need to be signed by a parent and returned by February 13th.

February is National Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month. Over the next few weeks you’ll see Red Dots around the school defining dating violence and unhealthy relationship behaviors. You will also find Green Dots that give ideas how to seek support if you’re going through these things or how to help a friend. Remember, love has many forms, but abuse is not one of them. Together we can make a difference. No one has to do everything, but everyone can do something.

Looking for scholarship monies….please come to the School Counseling Office to pick up your “Senior Application” for this year’s Senior Awards Assembly that is held in May.

Congratulations to the JV men’s swim team on their win at the Cedar Rapids Washington JV Invitational. The Rams swimmers won 7 of 11 events to run away with the team title by more than 130 points. Event winners included Carter Bauer, Yancy Choquet, Matt Fetzer, Mike Friend, Pato Heiderscheit, Ben Kubitz, Landon Kraus, and Tom Tigges. Special congratulations to Ben Kubitz who set a new meet record in winning the 50 Free.

Congratulations for the Dubuque Senior Speech team for an outstanding showing at the District Large Group Competition in Cascade on Saturday. Senior qualified 29 out of 31 entries for the state contest in Decorah on February 7th. Great work Rams!

Congratulations to the Men’s Swim Team on their MVC Super Meet and Valley Division Championships this weekend. Despite winning only the Medley Relay behind John Colin, Andrew Breitfelder, Drake Stierman, and Brandon Sindt, the depth of the team allowed them to pull away from the field. Special congratulations to Ben Colin who was named Valley Division athlete of the year and John Colin who set a new school record in the 100 Backstroke.

Attention Senior! We would like to congratulate all blood donors again for donating at our Fall Blood Drive and setting the Dubuque record of 84 units. Our annual Spring Blood is coming up again and will be held Friday, March 27th. If you will be 16 years of age aby the time of the Blood Drive, you are eligible to participate. Permission and Information sheets will be available February 16th in the stucco zone during lunch.
