Senior Girls' Cross-Country

Thursday night, the #3 state ranked Ram Cross-Country team swept all three races in dominant fashion at the Tiger Classic in Cedar Falls.  The Varsity Rams outpaced the competition by 81 points and placed four runners in the top ten of a field of nearly 200 runners.  Claire Edmondson turned in a stellar performance as meet runner-up, and Lily Schmidt was close behind in 3rd.  Izzy Gorton and Kate Miron were phenomenal in their 7th and 8th place finishes.  Lucy Tompkins-Garoutte (21st) and Josie Stackis (24th) also ran very well for the varsity Rams.

The young Rams won the Frosh/Soph race and were led by individual champion Elise Hallstoos' fantastic finish.  Freshmen Julia Kilgore (4th) and Estella Brown (10th) cracked the top-10 with great races.  Birthday girl Julianne Caceres was 17th and Lily Balayti was 19th for the Rams.

The Junior Varsity Rams narrowly missed a perfect score in dominating the JV Race.  Grace Ries defended her 2018 title by repeating as champion.  Elyza Hoffman challenged for the win and came up with an incredible runner-up race.  Eva Wood (3rd), Kes Whalen (4th), and Evelyn Jenkins (6th) surged into the top ten early on and never looked back.  And despite the humidity and less than ideal conditions, Coach Weber's hair maintained its usual bounce and flow.   Impressive work, Ladies!
