SEASON TICKETS are NOW AVAILABLE for the Men’s & Women’s Soccer, Softball, and Baseball Seasons. Tickets are $22 and are good for HOME games during the regular 2015 season (EXCEPT tournaments). Please stop in the DBQ Senior Activities Office to purchase your season ticket today!

Do you like to dance? Do you enjoy helping people in need? Well then we have the perfect event for you! There will be a Dance Marathon on April 10th from 6:00 to midnight. Tickets are $15 and come with a free t-shirt and all proceeds to go the Children’s Miracle Network. They will be sold in the cafeteria every day this week. Please come and show your support.

There will be a meeting for all SENIOR NHS members tomorrow, March 31st, during A/D study in the Auditorium to go over upcoming volunteer opportunities. Please see Mrs. Fischer for information if you cannot be there.

Loras College will be holding its annual Chemistry Olympics event on Friday April 10th. At this event, high school students from around the area will compete to prove their skill at chemistry labs and their knowledge of the chemistry field. Dubuque Senior has won this competition the past two years and hopes to make it three, but needs your help to do so.

Anyone who is in a chemistry class currently or has already taken a chemistry class and is interested in participating in Chemistry Olympics should contact Mr. Gates in room B241 about joining.

The RAMS Mens track team competed at the UNI Dome in the Mississippi Valley Conference Indoor Meet last night. Place winners included:

Ty Kloft and Austin Heiderscheit , 2nd and 3rd place in the 3200 meter run.​   Landon Kraus, Brad Ware, Collin Seymour and Jacob Osterberger 3rd place in the shuttle hurdle relay.  Collin Seymour 2nd place in the 60 meter high hurdles.   Brad Ware, Lee Bonifas, Deangelo Jackson and Ty Kloft 4th place in the 1600 meter medley.   Brad Ware, DeAngelo Jackson, Jacob Osterberger and Collin Seymour 3rd place in the 4x400 meter relay.   DeAngelo Jackson 2nd place in the long jump.  Jameel Kelley 4th place in the shot put.

Congratulations to the Dubuque Senior Speech Team on a successful weekend at the IE State Competition at Starmont High School on Saturday. The team earned 55 of 57 Division I ratings. Way to go Rams!

If you are going to be participating in Soccer, Tennis, or Women’s Golf - make sure you stop in the Activities Office to get signed up and make sure you have all of the required paperwork turned in BEFORE the first official practice. SEASON TICKETS are NOW AVAILABLE for the Men’s & Women’s Soccer, Softball, and Baseball Seasons. Tickets are $22 and are good for HOME games during the regular 2015 season (EXCEPT tournaments). Please stop in the DBQ Senior Activities Office to purchase your season ticket today!

Make sure you purchased your yearbook by checking online, at the Dubuque Community Schools website.

Go into the online payment portal and log in with your ID number and last name. Your ID number is your log in, and your last name is your password. From there you can check to see if you purchased your yearbook already OR you can buy your yearbook right then and there.

The deadline to be guaranteed that you have ordered a yearbook is MARCH 31!!!!

FAST: ​Do you need a quiet place to study? Someone to help you with a project or speech? Or, do you just need to finish a test or quiz? If so, the FAST program is for you. FAST will be held this Friday in the Senior Library from 7:30-8:30AM. Please enter through the cafeteria doors at 7:30AM. If you have questions about FAST, please see Mrs. Brokus.

Attention Senior! Our annual Spring Blood Drive is coming up and will be held Friday, March 27th. If you will be 16 years of age by the time of the Blood Drive, you are eligible to participate. You can sign up for a time and get your permission and information sheets in the STUCO Zone during lunch. Permission sheets must be signed by a parent or guardian and brought back by the mandatory donor meeting during either A or D study on Tuesday March 24th. Remember, every donation saves 3 lives!

Semester Final Exemptions! 9th, 10th and 11th grade students that are planning on exempting from a semester final will need the 4th quadrant stamped on the ID.

SPRING ATHLETES

If you are going to be participating in Soccer, Tennis, or Women’s Golf - make sure you stop in the Activities Office to get signed up and make sure you have all of the required paperwork turned in BEFORE the first official practice. If you need participation forms, they are available in the Activities Office or on the Dubuque Senior Rams Website.

Telling your coach you are going out for a sport does NOT mean you are signed up!

Congratulations to the IM Volleyball Champs, DOMS SQUAD!

Are you planning on attending Snowcoming this Saturday? If so, please remember to bring your Senior ID to allow for your quick entrance to the dance. If you are bringing a non-Senior guest please be sure he/she brings a picture ID also.

SNOWCOMING Tickets are on sale now in the business office. Tickets are $10 for a single ticket and $20 for a guest ticket. Purchasing a guest ticket gets admission for both you and your guest into the dance. Guest tickets must be purchased by the end of the school day on Thursday! Picture ID's are required for all visiting guests!

Monday evening, March 9th parents and junior students are invited to a presentation at 6:30 p.m. in the auditorium. Representatives from various colleges, Iowa Workforce, and ICAN will be discussing how to best prepare and look at options for “Life Beyond High School”.

There will be a MEN’S SOCCER Informational Meeting on Wednesday, March 11th at 3:00 pm in the LRC.

Men’s and Women’s Soccer will have Open Gym Monday, March 9th. Women’s Soccer Open Gym will be 6-7:30p.m. and Men’s Soccer will be 7:30 – 9:00.

The Discovery Club will be hiking at Governor Dodge State Park to see the waterfall, canyon, lakes, and nature this Saturday, March 7 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Please see Ms. Pfohl or Ms. Koch for details and a permission slip.

The Ram Mens Track and Field Team competed Tuesday evening at Loras College. Simon Kosel placed 5th in the 1500 meter run with a time of 5:35.53. In the long jump, Dakota Brimmer placed 5th with a jump of 17' 3 ", Angelo Romagna jumped 17' 4" and placed 4th, and Deangelo Jackson won the event with a jump of 20' 1". Great job Rams!
