Attention Students who park on Public Streets near the school, especially WEST LOCUST. Let your passengers out before parking so you are able to park as close to the curb as possible. Cars that are parked in the lane of traffic could be ticketed or towed, per Officer Slight

5th ANNUAL PINK OUT: The 5th Annual Pink Out against breast cancer will be held on Tuesday, February 11th at the home basketball game against Hempstead. The cost of a t-shirt is $10. Order forms for short sleeve, long sleeve, youth or 2-XL to 4-XL shirts are available in the activities and main office. They need to be turned into Jayne David in the main office by NOON THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 6th. All proceeds will go to Brenda Parker, former Senior HS para who is currently undergoing treatment for melanoma.

The winners from our Intermural 3v3 Basketball Tournament are Taylor Donner, Mark Fairley, and Nick "The King" Fairley. They battled through a tough group of teams, beating the defending champs two times en route to their 5-0 record. Be sure to congratulate them on their victories.

Attention all Seniors: If you are interested in pursuing a career as an electrician, consider applying for the Iowa Electrical Apprenticeship Program. To find out more about the requirements and opportunities available, stop in guidance for the website or check out the bulletin board outside of guidance office.

Anyone interested in trying out for the 2014 Women’s Soccer Team, there will be a brief meeting at 8:15 Thursday night in the Small gym , immediately following the meeting there will be an open gym.

Dubuque Senior Science Bowl team performed very well at the Department of Energy Science Bowl competition in Ames on Saturday, making it into the top eight out of 40 schools. Students Ryan Polley, Pooja Patel, Molly Timmerman and Natalie Walgren showed off the strength of their knowledge and skills on incredibly difficult topics such as particle physics, complex math, molecular biology and college-level chemistry. These guys are well on their way to going out and making a difference in the world. Go Rams!

There will be a meeting for all boys interested in going out for soccer after school, Thursday, January 30th at 2:45 in the cafeteria. Also, we will hold an open gym for soccer on Thursday night at 7.

The Women's Varsity basketball team defeated Davenport West Tuesday night 59-53. The Rams were down 11 going into the 4th quarter and pulled together offensively and defensively to get the win. The Lady Rams will play again Friday night against Wahlert.

Dubuque Senior National Honor Society members have completed over 2,705 volunteer hours since their induction in May! Those attending the dance are eligible to win 1 of 2 $50 cash prizes and gift cards to the following restaurants – Happy Joe’s, Panera, Starbucks and Panchero’s . 100% of proceeds will be donated directly to a fellow RAM, Andrew Jones, to help with the purchase of a new wheelchair. Talk to a STUCO member if you have any questions. Let’s have fun and support a great cause. WEAR WHITE!
