DISCOVERY CLUB: Hey, the Discovery Club is slip sliding away to the Mystique Ice Center this Sunday afternoon from 3-5 for ice skating. Whether you are learning or possess Olympic skating skills, come and join us. The cost is only $5 for admission and $2.50 for skate rental. CONGRATULATIONS: Six high school students from Dubuque Senior High School have been selected to participate in the Northeast Iowa Bandmasters' Association Honor Band Festival on Saturday, December 3, 2011. These students will perform in one of two 124 piece, select ensembles made up of instrumentalists from sixty schools in Northeast Iowa.
The students will rehearse all day Saturday and will present a concert at 7:00pm in the Oelwein High School Gymnasium. The two bands will be under the direction of Mr. Guy Blair and Mr. Dick Redman, both recently retired band directors from Pella High School.
The following instrumentalists from Dubuque Senior High School were selected for this honor: Jessica Larsen on Tenor Saxophone, Aaron Marshall on Trumpet, Emily Green on Flute, Emily Smith on Clarinet, AJ Metz on Bassoon, and Colin Niemer on Baritone Saxophone.

CONGRATULATIONS: Congratulations to the Senior Colorguard Soloists, Eden Frey, Anna Stuart and Destiny Bruggeman on an outstanding performance on Saturday! Anna earned a Division Rating and 4th Place. Special congrats go to Eden Frey for earning a Division I Rating and being crowned this year's state solo winner. Eden is the first colorguard soloists in the state to win back to back state titles! Great job ladies!

Special congratulations to Molly Lemezeder for earning the title of MVC Champion in the 50 free. CONGRATULATIONS: Please extend congratulations to the Ram Marching Band and Color Guard on their contest results from Saturday, October 1st. They performed at the Little Hawk Marching Invitational at Iowa City High School in the afternoon, scored well into the divisional I rating category with a 75.4 and came in 4th place. They performed at the Five Seasons Marching Invitational in the evening and scored a 79, won best color guard caption, and came in 3rd place overall. Our students and staff are very proud of our accomplishments!
