STUDENT NEWS

Attention All Sophomores!  On Wednesday, May 9th, Frank Zucker from Josten’s will be here to share some information with you about class rings.  If interested, please report to the auditorium A or D study time.

Attention Juniors from the Class of 2019!!! If you would like to volunteer to be on the graduation committee, please stop in the main office and sign up with Ms. McCaw. We will have at least a meeting this school year.
  
Congratulations to the Senior Music Department for wonderful performances this weekend at the State Large Group Contest. Wind Ensemble, Concert Orchestra and Symphony Orchestra for Superior Division 1 performances and Concert Choir for a Good Division 3 performance.

10th and 11th Graders, If you are interested in being a Student Leader for the Respect Retreat NEXT YEAR, please sign up in the cafeteria this Friday during all lunches.  If you have questions, please see Mrs. Brokus in the AP office.

Parking Lottery sign up for next year has begun!!  Student’s that will be 12th grade for the 2018-19 school year may stop by the AP office and sign up for the parking lottery.  Names will be announced in August at Registration, for students that will be able to purchase parking stickers. 

ACTIVITIES

Attention Volleyball players – there will be NO OPEN GYM this coming Sunday, May 13th – please enjoy the day with your families!


Dubuque Senior Girls Golf played in a quad where they finished 2nd.  First place was Breanna Felderman with a 40, followed closely by Abby Marting with a 41, and Lillian Donath with her first sub 50 round of 49, and then Leah Sullivan with a 56.

This just in… Student Council elections are just around the corner! If you or someone you know is interested in being a student leader, stop in to room B-138 TODAY or tomorrow, May 9th, during A or D study, for an interested candidates meeting. As a Council, we strive to represent the student body and create an enjoyable, exciting and unified school community. So, if you are interested, swing by our information meeting.

Are you taking the ACT in JUNE? Or maybe just sometime in the future? Come join us for FREE ACT prep session next week! Jason Derby will be back to give you great ACT prep strategies for FREE after school in A219 on Mondays and Wednesdays starting May 14th and ending May 23rd.
