The students will rehearse all day Saturday and will present a concert at 7:00pm in the Oelwein High School Gymnasium. The two bands will be under the direction of Mr. Guy Blair and Mr. Dick Redman, both recently retired band directors from Pella High School.
The following instrumentalists from Dubuque Senior High School were selected for this honor: Jessica Larsen on Tenor Saxophone, Aaron Marshall on Trumpet, Emily Green on Flute, Emily Smith on Clarinet, AJ Metz on Bassoon, and Colin Niemer on Baritone Saxophone.

30th – NICC – 9:20 a.m.

PLAN TEST: All 10th graders interested in taking the plan test can now sign up in guidance. The cost for the test is $15. The plan test is the pre-act test that will help you prepare for the act test your junior year.

EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY: Prodigy Daycare looking for part-time workers - includes weekdays and weekends. Will work with your school schedule. If interested: stop in guidance for an application.

COVERS FOR COMFORT: Covers for Comfort is an organization in which fleece tie blankets are made and then donated to adult cancer patients. Hospitals that the blankets go to are in Dubuque, Galena, the University of Iowa, and Northwestern and Mercy in Chicago. If clubs or activities are interested in giving to the cause, please contact Madison Davis or Student Council. Donations only go until November 17, and blankets are due December 6, so talk to them before then.

BLOOD DRIVE: Friday, December 2 we will be having our annual fall blood drive. Permission slips will be available down in the STUCO zone at lunch.

PROJECT KIDS: Student Council is beginning our annual Project Kids event. Project Kids is a way to help families in need and help provide presents to their children. We are wondering if any 5th hour classes would like to sponsor a child. By sponsoring a child you would be providing gifts (clothes, toys, books, etc.) to a child. If interested in participating in Project Kids talk to your 5th hour teacher.

RENAISSANCE: Stop in the AP office before or after school or during A & D study to have your ID stamped for Renaissance. Remember, in order to qualify for end of the semester Test Exempt you must have your ID stamped before the end of November.
