Butter Braids order forms for World Language fundraising are due Wednesday, November 1st. Turn in all money and forms to E39 or your World Language teacher. Be ready to pick up items ordered on November 14th after school.

On Saturday, the Ram Girls' Cross-Country Team raced to a historic runner-up finish in the Class 4A race at the state cross-country meet in Ft. Dodge, IA. Their 2nd place finish matches the program's best finish since 1980 and caps an incredible season where the rams won five team titles, including conference and district crowns. The Rams were led by Mia Rampton's stellar 11th place finish. By placing in the top-15 individually, Mia earned a place on the all-state team. Freshman Lillian Schmidt turned in an inspired performance as she cracked the top-20, finishing 18th overall. Junior Ashley Donovan raced to a fantastic 21st place finish and senior star Mackenzie Gaherty crossed the line in 37th. Senior Ava Frye surged to a 55th place finish to seal the 2nd place finish for the Rams. Freshman Izzy Gorton (89th) and Junior Olivia Kruse (109th) also raced well, finishing ahead of many schools' scoring racers.

The Ram XC team and coaches would like to thank all of the Ram Fam that made the trip over to Ft. Dodge to cheer on their teammates and friends!

Congratulations to the women’s swim team
on their 6th place finish at the regional swim meet on Saturday. The team was led by the following top-6 finishes: Anna Pfeiffer-1st place in the 50 and 100 Free, Claire Wedewer-3rd place in the 200 IM and 100 Breast, the 400 Free Relay of Taylor Kremer, Grace Pope, Claire Wedewer, and Anna Pfeiffer took 2nd, the 200 Medley Relay of Anna Pfeiffer, Claire Wedewer, Taylor Kremer, and Grace Pope took 3rd with a new school record, and the 200 Free Relay of Taylor Kremer, Molly Strohmeyer, Hannah Hoerner, and Grace Pope took 6th. Additionally, Anna Pfeiffer was named Regional Athlete of the Year. The team qualified the Medley Relay, 400 Free Relay, Anna in the 50 and 100 Free, and Claire in the 200 IM and 100 Breast for this weekend’s State Meet. Congratulations and good luck this Saturday swimmers!

The Ram's Men's Cross Country team competed at the State Meet in Fort Dodge this weekend. The Rams came in ranked 15th out of 15 teams and ended up finishing in 8th place. Competing for the Rams were Jalen Hildebrand who finished 18, Will Whalen who finished 40th and set a personal record, Even Willie who finished 57th and set a personal record, Matthew Johnson who finished 90th, Connor Kilgore who finished 91st and Ben Cook who finished 93rd. If you see these young men this week, be sure to congratulate them on a great race and a great season.

Alexis Doremus, Jackson Kates and Emily Tigges were selected from the band and Samuel Day and Madalyn Ethier were both selected from the Orchestra. Congratulations to all on your hard work!

The men's cross country team qualified for the State Cross Country Meet by finishing third out of nine teams at the district meet at Crow Creek Park in Bettendorf on Thursday. Individual state qualifiers for the Rams include Jalen Hildebrand who finished 6th, Will Whalen who finished 10, Isaiah Schaetzel who finished 14th, and Evan Wille who finished 15th. Also running for the Rams were Matthew Johnson, Ben Cook, and Connor Kilgore. The Rams will be competing next Saturday at the State Meet in Fort Dodge, so if you see any of these young men, be sure to wish them luck

DUBUQUE SENIOR GIRLS' CROSS-COUNTRY


For the first time since 1980, the Senior Girls' Cross-Country Team are district champions! The Rams won the Pleasant Valley district in dominant fashion, outpacing runner-up Hempstead by 17 points. In winning their district, the Rams qualify for the State Cross-Country Championships in Ft. Dodge this weekend. The Rams were led by district champion Mia Rampton, who finished an impressive 34 seconds ahead of her competition. Mia is Senior's first district champion since 1999. Ashley Donovan was 5th overall in a fantastic race, earning individual state qualifier status. The senior-freshman combo of Mackenzie Gaherty in 6th and Izzy Gorton in 7th also qualified individually for the state meet. Freshman Lillian Schmidt was 12th for the Rams, also qualifying individually for the state meet. Junior Olivia Kruse ran a great race and nabbed the final individual state qualifier spot in 15th place. Senior Ava Frye finished a strong 19th overall.

Homecoming tickets are now on sale before and after school OR during your lunch period! Tickets can be purchased in the business office and are $10 for a Senior student ticket. If you are bringing a guest from another school, you can purchase a Guest ticket for $20, which covers both you and your guest.  Tickets will be $15 at the door for Senior students. Please be prepared.... you must have your current Student ID to purchase tickets and tickets CAN NOT be purchased using a debit or credit card.

IT’S HOMECOMING WEEK! Throughout the week we will be having dress-up days to celebrate homecoming. TODAY is class distinction day. Seniors wear red, juniors wear blue, sophomores wear gray, freshmen wear white, and staff wear orange. Finally,TOMORROW is Spirit Day! Wear your best red and blue OR your fancy new homecoming t-shirt to show off your school spirit! For all of the dress up days, hats and masks are not allowed.

Friday, October 13th, is the homecoming football game. The sophomore game starts at 5:00, and varsity begins at 7:15. Happy Homecoming and go Rams!

The Rams Men's cross-country team competed in the Steve Johnson Invitational in Waverly, Iowa Saturday. The Varsity finished second and were led by Jalen Hildebrand's third place finish. In the combined junior varsity and frosh/soph race the Rams finished third, led by third place finisher Connor Kilgore. The Rams next compete in the MVC Super meet on Thursday at the Dubuque soccer complex. This will be the last of only two meets in Dubuque, so take the opportunity to come out and cheer on the Rams on Thursday

On Saturday, September 30, the #4 State Ranked Ram Girls' XC team placed second of 20 teams at the Steve Johnson Invitational at Wartburg College. The Rams were led by Mia Rampton in 8th place and Ashley Donovan in 11th place out of 171 total racers.

The Junior Varsity team continued their winning ways, capturing their 4th team title of the year! Individual champion Lily Schmidt led the way, dominating the race from start to finish. Kes Whalen was individual runner up, Kate Miron was 4th, and Josie Stackis was 5th overall for the Rams.

The Rams return to action this Thursday at the Dubuque Soccer Complex as they compete in the 14-team MVC Supermeet!
