STUDENT NEWS

ATTENTION ALL STUDENTS:
STUDENT lockers need to be completely cleaned out by June 1st. The custodians will be cleaning out anything left in lockers once the school year is over. Items left in the lockers will be donated. Again, all lockers MUST be completely cleaned out by the 1st of June any items left behind will be donated.

All female wellness students
must have their lockers cleaned out and locks turned in by Tuesday, May 30th. If you lost your lock, there will be a five dollar fee. All items left in lockers will be donated at the end of the semester. Please contact Mrs. Riley with questions.

Lost and Found Items:
With the school year coming to an end, we would hate for you not to re-connect with your lost item. Stop by Room A201 to take a look. Items will be donated at the end of the school year.

Our last writing club meeting for the year will be today in A213. Hope to see you there!

Seniors,
remember that all of your library books, textbooks, computers and hotspots need to be returned by TODAY so your account is clear for graduation.

Students: Consider joining in the first ever Peace Institute at Loras College this summer. Stop by Guidance on Wednesday during "A" or "D" lunch to meet with a representative to talk about the what you can expect from the experience. If you have questions, stop by A219 and talk to Mrs. Anderson. Bring a friend!

Parking lottery
sign up for next year has begun. Student’s that will be in 11th grade for the 2017-18 school year may stop by the AP office and sign up for the parking lottery. Names will be announced in August at Registration, for students that will be able to purchase parking stickers.

AP World History: There will be a meeting for anyone taking AP World History next year in B143 to get summer readings, Thursday, May 25 at 7:10 OR 2:30. See Mr. Miller if you are unable to attend one of these times.

AP Literature:
There will be a mandatory informational meeting on Thursday, May 25th at 2:30 in the library for all students taking Advanced Placement Literature next year. You will be receiving summer reading information at this meeting, so it is important that you attend.

AP Composition students:
Plan to attend one of the following meetings to receive this summer's readings. Come to the library TODAY at 7:15-7:30 a.m. See Ms. Koch or Ms. Lammer-Heindel if you have any questions.

Current 11th graders, please check with the Senior High health office to verify that your immunizations meet the new state law requirements that will be in effect for 2017-2018 school year. If you are not compliant, you may be excluded from school until you have the necessary documentation on file with the health office." Any questions please go to the health office.

Rams Women's Track: If you if have not turned in your gear you must do so ASAP.

The Women’s golf team won their regional meet yesterday, which brings their record to 62 wins and 4 losses. Maddie Hawkins shot the day’s low score of even par 72. This not only won her the medalist honors but qualified her as an individual as well. Abby Marting shot an 83 which tied her for 3rd place individually and qualified her as an individual. Also, scoring for the RAMS was Sara Swift with a 96 and Ellie Akins with a 97. These four girls as well as Autumn Kemp and Breanna Felderman will represent Senior at the State Meet next week, Tuesday and Wednesday. Good Luck to each one of them!

All men interested in running cross-country this fall
need to attend an informational meeting in D 153 (Coach Kilgore's room) on Wednesday May 31 at 2:40 to discuss summer training.

RAM Girls’ Cross-Country Runners
: There will be an informational Meeting today at 2:30 in D159. To discuss summer training and upcoming season. New runners welcomed.

BOYS
– if you are NOT in the 2nd semester Performance PE class, your varsity locker needs to be cleaned out and the padlock needs to be returned to the Activities Office today! Anything left in the lockers after June 1st will be removed and you may be charged for the padlock. PLEASE get your lockers cleaned out today (this includes all football cages as well)– thank you!

The 8th Annual Grey Ribbon Crusade
will be taking place on Monday, May 29th. This run to fight brain cancer continues as a memorial to honor former DBQ Senior High School track coach and staff member, Jim Boughton and his hard work and legacy of achievement he left behind. It is also used as an avenue to continue the fight against brain related cancers by donating all of it proceeds to help others fight brain cancer.

There is a Kids mile race, a 5K race/walk, followed by a 1 mile race –with all races finishing on the Dalzell track. Please stop in the Activities Office or visit www.greyribbondubuque.org to get registered today!
