REMINDER: There will be no school for students this Friday, September 21st, due to a teacher professional development day.

PICTURE RETAKE DAY: Picture retakes will take place Monday, September 24th starting 1st hour.

CAREER EXPLORATION: Does a career in Conservation or Nursing interest you?? If so, join the Explorer Post being held at Mercy Hospital for nursing or if you prefer to hunt, fish, or be in the outdoors, the Swiss Valley Conservation Post is the one for you. If interested in finding out more about these careers, stop in guidance.

JOB POSTING: All locations of McDonald's restaurants are looking for students to work part- time. Must be 16. If interested, stop in guidance or check out bulletin board outside of guidance. You may apply online at www.mcstate.com

HOMECOMING DANCE REMINDER: The Homecoming Dance is Saturday, October 13th. If you think you would like to bring a guest who does not attend Senior High School, please stop in the AP office to pick up a guest form. The forms need to be returned by Tuesday, October 9th.

UPPER ROOM MEETING: The Upper Room Club played "Do you love your neighbor" this week. Lots of fun! The Upper Room will meet on THURSDAY this week at 7 am. We meet in the gym lobby. We always have treats! Come early to participate in ‘5 minutes of Craziness’.

UPPER ROOM BACK TO SCHOOL PARTY: Food, pop, pizza, volleyball, games, a campfire and more! Sound like fun? Then join the Upper Room club for our Back To School Party this Friday, Sept. 21st from 4 - 8 pm. We will meet at the beach area at Barrington Lake. Bring a treat or pop to share. Pizza will be provided.

KEY CLUB MEETING: Key Club will be meeting Wednesday, September 19th in Room B241 at 7:15 a.m. Come join us in our leadership training and community service activities this fall. Find out more Wednesday or check with Ms. Gibbons for more information.

SCIENCE BOWL CLUB MEETING: Dubuque Senior's Science Bowl club will meet to get ready for January's competition this Tuesday, September 18th from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. in Room B241. Training and competition sessions are required to prepare, so please come to the meeting or visit with Ms. Gibbons if you would like to be considered for the team.

JOB OPPORTUNITY: Mt. Pleasant Home is looking for a responsible 16 yr. old who would like to work late afternoon hours in the dietary dept. If interested, stop in guidance or check out the bulletin board outside of guidance.

ID’s: Any student that had their ID picture taken on August 30th, please stop and see Ms. David in the main office to pick it up. You will need your ID beginning September 24th in order to ride the JULE (city bus) for free.
