MATH COMPETITION: Senior High School will be taking 14 students to compete in the Platteville Math Competition on Wednesday, November 7th. We need a team of 7 freshman/sophomores and 7 upperclassmen. Students will be released from school around noon the day of the competition and return around 5:30 p.m. If you are interested, please talk to your math teacher or Mr. Kueper in A322. We will meet to practice problems at 7:10 a.m. on Thursday, October 4th in Mr. Kueper’s room
CAREER EXPLORATION FOR FUTURE ENGINEERS: The Engineering Explorer Post is starting at John Deere. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for you to work with engineers in the Virtual Reality Lab. You will learn how future engineers will design machines and participate in hands on experiments. Meetings will be held monthly for 2-3 hours. Spots are limited - only accepting 15 students! Applications are due on Oct. 4th. Stop in guidance for more info.

VOLLEYBALL PINK OUT: Next Tuesday, October 2nd is our volleyball match against Dubuque Hempstead. It is also our annual "Pink Out" in support of Breast Cancer Awareness. We will be selling T-shirts and all money raised will go to the American Cancer Society.
If you would like to order a shirt please let one of the volleyball players know or email Brett Myres, bmyres@dbqschools.org, your shirt sizes. T-shirts will be sold for $10. Thanks again for helping us support this cause.

Practice and meeting will be held Wednesday, Sept. 26th at 5:30 pm in Flora Park. We will be discussing practice schedule for the winter and T-shirt ideas. If you have an idea bring it in.

HELP SENIOR SWIM TEAM FEED DUBUQUE: Our service project this year is to help with the Donna Ginter Thanksgiving Dinner. Each year they feed 2500 people in need of Thanksgiving dinner. You can help by donating $ to a Swim Team Member or food items. Come cheer on the Senior Swim/Dive Teams as they compete on Tuesday, September 25th, 6pm at the Hempstead Pool. Get in free by bringing any 2 of these needed items........canned corn, sweet potatoes, fruit cocktail, green beans, or boxed instant potatoes and red jello. Thanks!!
