STUDENT NEWS

 Attention SENIORS:

This year’s Senior High Awards Assembly will be on Monday May 14^th, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. in the Senior High Auditorium.  We have a variety of scholarships (Memorial, Community/School, and Specific College Sponsored) that are available for our Senior High graduating students. 

Applications will be available starting Monday January 29^th, 2018. If you are interested in applying for these scholarship monies, please come to The School Counseling Office and give our secretary, Mrs. Pfab, your name and email address.  Mrs. Lawrence will then send you the electronic application to complete.

If you are signed up for the Battle of the Books, please come to a meeting in the library on Thursday at 7:10 am.

The next Gay Straight Alliance meeting will be held in E45 on January 25 at 7:05 in E45. Please come to help us plan our Open House table and to hang out with friends

 ACTIVITIES

There will be Open Field for soccer this coming Thursday, January 25^th, on Dalzell.  Girls will go from 4:30 – 6:00 pm and Boys will go from 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm.

There will be a Women’s Soccer PRE-Season Meeting on Tuesday, January 30^th @ 2:30 pm in the Cafeteria.  Come meet your new coach and receive any information regarding the upcoming women’s soccer season!

Are you interested in being a RAM CHEERLEADER?  If so, please stop by the Activities Office for some important information regarding tryouts.  There will be a Mandatory Meeting for all students interested in trying out on Thursday, March 15^th.  

Men’s Track and Field:  There will be a goal-setting meeting on January 29^th at 6:30 p.m. in the Small Gym.

Attention all athletes!  Sign up for Spring Sports is going on NOW!  If you are interested in any of the following sports, make sure you stop by the Activities Office to get signed up:  Men’s/Women’s Track, Women’s Golf, Men’s/Women’s Tennis, Men’s Soccer, and Women’s Soccer.

Men’s/Women’s Track begins on February 12^th, so make sure you get signed up soon!

 COUNSELORS OFFICE

Dubuque Mining Co is looking for part-time cooks.   Nights and weekends - starting at $8.50 per hr plus tips.  If interested appy at the Dubuque Mining Co. at Kennedy Mall.  More info in guidance.

RAM Recyclers needs your help.  We need students to collect and sort recycling here at Senior.  If you are at Senior at 7:00, you are just the right students for this job.  This opportunity is available 7:00-7:25 Monday through Thursday.  Come and earn service hours for the Silver Cord Program and help the environment.  See Mrs. King in A118 if interested. 

Students, did you know the Academic Resource Center is now open? Tutoring is now available from 7 am to 3 pm Monday thru Thursday in A318. See your teachers for the full schedule of availability.
