We have witnessed A LOT of individuals ILLEGALLY entering the building at the “trainers” door. In fact, we watch on video that students are technically breaking and entering the building in that area. You are not allowed in the building unless you are supervised by a coach or teacher. Furthermore, if you access the building through a door that is locked, you are trespassing committing a crime by doing so and subject to law enforcement intervention.

Automotive Club: Do you like working on cars and trucks? This might be the club for you. There will be an informational meeting discussing ideas for a future Automotive Club. The meeting will take place after school on Wednesday, April 16 in room E-11, Mr. Zuck’s room. If you cannot make it, talk to Mr. Zuck and let him know you are interested.

The Dubuque Senior High School Gay Straight Alliance is preparing for participation in the upcoming national Day of Silence. The National Day of Silence is a day of action in which students across the country vow to take a form of silence to call attention to the silencing effect of anti-LGBT bullying and harassment in schools. For those who would like to participate in Day of Silence, please come to room E-24 to sign the pledge sheet. We ask that you do NOT wear duct tape or do any type of face painting. For more information on the Day of Silence, please join the GSA at their regular Thursday meeting in room E-24 right after school. Thanks for your support.

Cheerleading tryouts for the 2014-15 school year is Monday April 14th-17 6:00-8:00pm in the Nora Gym. For more information contact Coach Mayberry

Golfers! Plans are being made for the 2014 Rams Shooter golf outing. The golf outing is on Saturday-May 10 at Bunker Hill (yes the same day as prom). For those that don’t have prom plans, put together a team of four and compete in the golf outing. $60 per person and format is 4 person scramble. See Mr. Cook for more details.

Students….we have had A LOT of people hanging around after school, finding their way back into the school and playing pickup basketball games and horsing around in the Indoor track areas. Remember, students are NOT allowed to be in the building after school hours UNLESS THEY ARE SUPERVISED BY A TEACHER, COACH, or PARAPROFESSIONAL. Senior High School is not your personal “fitness area”. You can use the weight room during open lift times, but then you must leave the building.

For any of you who like baseball, here is a great opportunity for you. There is a bus trip going to a Cubs vs Brewers baseball game in Milwaukee on Sunday, April 27. The bus leaves from Senior at 8:00am for the 1:10 game. The bus should arrive back to Senior around 9:00pm. The cost is $75, which covers your game ticket and bus ride. If you are interested there will be information sheets outside the activities office. If you have any questions please see Mr. Felderman.
