NHS is having a bake sale during all lunches this week to raise money for Project Concern's Foster Grandparent Program. This program allows retired individuals to help out at local elementary programs to provide one-on-one help and be a caring grandparent-like figure for young students.

A $1.00 donation is suggested for each goody - so please, give what you can so that NHS can help keep a good thing going in our community.

The girl’s golf team just increased their record to 14-0, by firing a 169 last night at Gates Park in Waterloo. Leading the way for the RAMS was Maddie Hawkins who shot a 39 to also take meet medalist honors. She was followed closely by Jessie Westhoff’s 40, and Abby Marting with a 42, Sara Swift rounded out the scoring with a 48. Also competing were Claire Siegert, Montana Meyer and Kristin Michel.

Next meet for the girls is on Monday at Thunder Hills.

Student vs. Teacher Soccer Game:

We will be moving the Teacher vs. Student Soccer Game into Nora Gym. Students will sit in the bleachers, the first 4 rows will be blocked off for safety reasons.


Car Show:

The Car Show has been moved to Mr. Zuck's classroom E11 in the industrial tech wing. 6 cars will be shown.


Ultimate Frisbee Tournament:

The ultimate frisbee tournament has been cancelled. Students who have signed up for this event must attend their regular scheduled class.

Model UN participated in the state Model UN conference at UNI on Thursday and Friday with over 500 students from 25 schools. At this conference students can earn an award for Outstanding Position Paper for a paper scoring 96 out of 100. We had 4 students earn this award: Sibani Ram, Alice Tsui, Allie Pinchuk, and Lauren Pinchuk. Students can also earn Outstanding Delegate which is awarded to only 14 students in the state. Senior earned 3 with Sibani Ram, Josie Mills, and Sydney Ringold being recognized.

The Girls golf team is off to great start after firing a 342 to win the 10 team Lancer Invite held at Glynn’s Creek. The Meet and Team medalist was Maddie Hawkins who fired a 74, followed closely by Abby Marting’s 75, also scoreing for Senior were Jessie Westhoff with a 96 and Sara Swift with a 97.

Attention Rams! Monday, April 18th will be the start of Ram Fam Week 2016!! With that comes many exciting events to begin looking forward too!



This year, Student Council will be offering a Ram Fam Week Pass. You’re able to purchase a Ram Fam Week Pass in the Business Office through TODAY for $6!! This one pass gets you a free drink at Open Mic Night on Monday April 18th at 6pm. Admission into the Hypnotist Show Wednesday, April 20th at 6:30pm. And admission into the Courtyard Social Friday, April 22nd at 6pm. If you do not purchase the Ram Fam Week Pass, the Hypnotist Show and the Courtyard Social will be $5 at the door. This is a great deal you should definitely take advantage of starting Monday, April 11th in the Business Office.


Also, if you want to participate in the Tug-of-War competition that will take place during the Ram Fam Assembly, stop into the Guidance Office this week! All Tug-of War teams must have 6 players and there should be at least one female on each team. These teams should report to the Tug-of-War area right after the dismissal to the Ram Fam Assembly. May the best team win!

The Girls golf team had their first golf meet last night in Cedar Rapids. The Senior girls are off to a great start having won the triangular with a team score of 186.

Team and meet medalist was Abby Marting firing a 41, followed by Maddie Hawkins with a 43, Claire Siegert with a 49 and Sara Swift with a 53. Also representing Senior was Jesse Westhoff, Montana Meyer and Gabby Lietner.

A huge shout out to all of the Senior student tutors for Mondays and Wednesdays with RAMS, FAST, and any other student tutors who help make Senior a better place. You know who you are and we appreciate you! Three Ram claps!

French Club Movie night is Tuesday April 19th at 6:30 at Mindframe Theater. Cost is $4 and is open to anyone who wants to come. We will be watching Chocolat with Johnny Depp. Feel free to bring family and friends! We hope to see you there!!
