ANNOUNCEMENTS RE:   WEDNESDAY RAM FAM EVENTS


National Guard: The National Guard event has been cancelled due to maintenance being done to the rock wall. Students who have signed up for this event must attend their regular scheduled class.


WEATHER RELATED RAM FAM WEEK ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Due to the impending rain, the following changes will be made to Wednesday's event schedule...

Student vs. Teacher Soccer Game:

We will be moving the Teacher vs. Student Soccer Game into Nora Gym. Students will sit in the bleachers, the first 4 rows will be blocked off for safety reasons.

Car Show:

The Car Show has been moved to Mr. Zuck's classroom E11 in the industrial tech wing. 6 cars will be shown.

Ultimate Frisbee Tournament:

The ultimate frisbee tournament has been cancelled. Students who have signed up for this event must attend their regular scheduled class.

Model UN participated in the state Model UN conference at UNI on Thursday and Friday with over 500 students from 25 schools. At this conference students can earn an award for Outstanding Position Paper for a paper scoring 96 out of 100. We had 4 students earn this award: Sibani Ram, Alice Tsui, Allie Pinchuk, and Lauren Pinchuk. Students can also earn Outstanding Delegate which is awarded to only 14 students in the state. Senior earned 3 with Sibani Ram, Josie Mills, and Sydney Ringold being recognized.


Congratulations to the Ram Women’s Track Team on their 3rd Place finish at the Decorah Relays last Friday night. The Rams tuned in a number of personal and season best efforts.

Event Winners were:

  • Grace Gudenkauf in the High Jump 

  • The 4 X 800 Relay team of Lauren Miller, Maddie Shearer, Mia Rampton, and Kai Biehl.

Scott Althoff Memorial Scholarship:  Any senior playing for the Rams baseball team this summer is invited to apply for the Scott Althoff Memorial Scholarship. If interested in this $500 scholarship, see Mr. Fleming in room A-211 for an application. Forms need to be returned by April 29.


There will be a Math Club meeting tomorrow morning at 7:00 in Mrs. Jorgenson’s room, A321. We will be working on our Geometry String Art to display in the math hallway. Everyone is welcome and we hope to see you there.

The Courtyard Social is Friday, April 22nd from 6-8pm. The dress is Ram-casual—red, white, and blue Ram gear. Individual tickets for the Courtyard Social will be on sale in the Business office, Monday through Friday this week. Tickets are $5.00. Tickets will also be sold at the door. We hope to see you at this once in a lifetime event!

FOUND in Ms. Koch’s classroom a women’s ring. Please stop in the Main Office to identify.

French Club Movie night is TONIGHT at 6:30 at Mindframe Theater. Cost is $4 and is open to anyone who wants to come. We will be watching Chocolat with Johnny Depp. Feel free to bring family and friends! We hope to see you there!!

Seniors - Flyers have been placed around the school and in several of your classrooms regarding a short survey for a feature in the Rampage as well as the yearbook. You should be able to access the survey for any smart phone or mobile device. Currently, we have less than 20 responses and we need many more if this feature is to be created. Don't miss your chance! If you have any questions, talk to Mrs. Jackman in room E45, Mrs. Busch, or Mrs. Berna in the Counseling office.

Are you planning on going out for Baseball or Softball? Please make sure you stop in the Activities Office to get signed up, even if you are currently in a spring sport! Practices officially start on May 2nd for Baseball and May 9th for Softball.

Attention Students! Elections for next year's student council are coming up. Any Freshman, Sophomore, or Junior interested in running should attend the informational meeting TODAY in room B138 during either A or D Study. Important information about the election process will be discussed at this meeting. If you are unable to attend, please see Mrs. Wessels or Mr. Leytem.
