Senior men's country team qualifies for state at Crow Creek in Bettendorf IA

The top 15 individuals and top 3 teams qualify for state.

The Rams qualified 4 individual and also the entire team. Individual qualifiers were Mark Whalen 4th place 16:23, Jalen Hildebrand 7th place 16:44, Preston Kizer 8th place 16:47, Will Whalen 15th place 17:00.


The Senior team also qualified placing 2nd with 58 points. Listed below are the team qualifiers.

                            Whalen, Mark 4 16:23

                            Hildebrand, Jalen 7 16:44

                            Kizer, Preston 8 16:47

                            Whalen, Will 15 17:00

                            Zenner, Dalton 24 17:29

                            Vail, Nathan 31 17:33

The Senior Rams men's cross country team will compete at the state meet in Fort Dodge Saturday October 31 at 11:30 am.

Seniors – Do you have a sibling who is a freshman? Freshmen, do you have a sibling who is a senior? If so, then come down to the yearbook room, E45, to have your picture taken. Plan what you would like to do before coming; wear similar clothes, pick out funny hats, or a striking pose.

Twins – the same goes for you! Come together and get your photo taken for the yearbook.

If you would like your photo to appear in the yearbook, you must have your picture taken by the Echo staff by November 20th.


The 13th Annual Dubuque Senior TriState 3-on-3 Hoopfest will be Saturday, October 31st in Nora gym. See coach Eimers for an entry form. Rules meeting will at 1:15 and high school games will begin play at 1:30. Winning teams will receive trophies and all participants will receive official 3-on-3 Hoopfest t-shirts.

Local employers are looking for part-time workers at Panera, Champs, Fazolio's, Sundown, Hills and Dales, Focus, Fashion Touch Cleaners, McDonald's, Theisen's, and Hy-Vee.

Be sure to check out Hills and Dales Job Fair on Oct 26th and Sundown's Job Fair on Oct. 31st.

Attention Student-Athletes

If you are planning on going out for a winter sport (Men’s or Women’s Bowling, Men’s Swimming, Men’s or Women’s Basketball, or Wrestling) you need to stop in the Activities Office to sign up and make sure your sports physical and all paperwork is up to date.

Even if you are currently participating in a fall sport, you need to sign up for the winter sports. Please do NOT wait until the first day of practice to sign up! First official day of practice for Bowling and Swimming, and Women’s Basketball is November 9th and for Wrestling and Men’s Basketball it is November 16th.

If you have any questions, stop in the Activities Office.

Seniors!!! October 26th and October 27th we will be holding our annual College Application Campaign! From 7:00am to 11:30am each day, the Write Place will be open for seniors to come complete applications, search for scholarships, work on and complete essays, research options and get all your questions answered about your for post-secondary plans! The School Counselors and local college experts will be there to help you along the way. Please take advantage of this wonderful opportunity.

Signing up is not needed, however there will be a sign-up in the School Counseling Office that we highly encouraged! Please communicate your absence with your teachers if necessary.

If you are registered for Mr. Kohl’s 2nd semester Marine Biology class, you are eligible to go on the field trip to the Shedd Aquarium and Adler Planetarium in Chicago on November 16th. If interested please see Mr. Kohl during your 5th hour study hall for more details and a permission slip in B233. Permission slips will be due by November 1st.
