The men's track and field team competed well last night at the Ira Dunsworth Invitational in Davenport. The following athletes finished in the top 5 in their respected events:

5th Place: Landon Kraus in the 110 meter high hurdles and the 4x800 meter relay team of Preston Kizer, Andrew Grawe, Dana Miller and Mark Whalen

4th Place: Jacob Osterberger in the 110 meter high hurdles, Ty Kloft in the 3200 meter run and Landon Kraus in the 400 meter low hurdles.

3rd place: 4x100 meter relay team of Collin Seymour, Brad Ware, DeAngelo Jackson and Lee Bonifas

2nd place: DeAngelo Jackson in the long jump; DeAngelo's jump of 21'6" is the 8th best long jump in school history.

1st place: 4x200 meter relay team of Collin Seymour, Brad Ware, DeAngelo Jackson and Lee Bonifas.

Special recognition goes to the shuttle hurdle relay team of Collin Seymour, Landon Kraus, Brad Ware and Jacob Osterberger for bringing the thunder last night. The team finished first place and broke the school record in the event with a time of 59.41 seconds. Their lightning quick performance set off the severe weather sirens and resulted in a temporary postponement of the meet. ​Great job guys!

Hartigs on Asbury Square and JFK is looking to hire reliable students to work approximately 18-24 hours per week. Stop in guidance or check out bulletin board for more info.

Registration forms for the Summer Sessions of Drivers Ed may be picked up in the business office beginning today, April 13th. Completed forms will be accepted beginning on April 20th on a first come first serve basis. There will be 3 sessions offered and space is limited. This summer, Drivers Ed courses will be held at Hempstead High School.

Are you going out for SOFTBALL this summer? There will be a player meeting on Wednesday, April 22 at 2:45 pm in the cafeteria.

If you are going out for Baseball or Softball-please stop in the Activities Office to sign up today – Don’t wait until the day of practice starts! Even if you are currently in a Spring sport, you can sign up now. Again – if you are going out for Baseball or Softball – Stop in the Activities Office to sign up today!

Do you think you have what it takes to become a Tug-of War Champion? If so, you and 5 of your friends should sign up for the Ram Fam Assembly Tug-of-War Tournament! Sign up at the StuCo Zone during lunch starting today. Teams must consist of at least one guy and 1 girl, and teachers are encouraged to join teams too! The last day to sign up is Thursday, April 16th. The final Tug-of-War match will be played on Dalzell Field, before the final Senior Survivor contest!

Ram Fam Trivia Night
The Social Studies department will be hosting a Trivia Night in the Cafeteria on Tuesday, April 14th from 7 PM to 9 PM. Come test your knowledge of pop culture and compete for exciting and delicious prizes. Ask your social studies teacher for more information. A free will offering will be taken at the door to offset the social studies scholarship.

Attention Students! Elections for next year’s student council are coming up. Any Freshman, Sophomore, or Junior interested in running should attend the informational meeting on Tuesday, April 21st in room A219 either A or D Study.
