COLLEGE OF THE WEEK(Clarke University): Clarke University has 38 undergraduate programs, 5 pre-professional programs, and 6 graduate programs. Their top majors are:
Health Science (including PT and Nursing),
Fine Arts (which includes Graphic Design, Studio Art, Art History, Drama, Music, and more),
Education,
and Undeclared (meaning an Open Major).

ATTENTION STUDENTS: An important message from your student council! This year we are trying new things and one of those things is to be an emcee at this year’s homecoming assembly! Anyone interested in trying out can sign up in guidance or the main office. There you will find an information sheet that has everything you need to know about this new and exciting opportunity! Try-outs will be held today and Wednesday of this week, so sign up soon! This could be your big break!

HOMECOMING GUEST FORMS: Homecoming is October 5th and students bringing a guest that does NOT attend Senior High School will need to pick up a Homecoming Guest form in the AP office. The forms need to be returned to the AP office by October 3rd.

SPANISH CLUB: Spanish Club will have its first meeting on Wednesday, September 11 in Señora Prine’s room, E-43. There will be meetings at 7:15 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. If you are interested in being a part of our Club de Español you only need to attend ONE of these meeting to sign up. Hope to see you there! FROM THE SCHOOL COUNSELING OFFICE: MARK YOUR CALENDAR: The ONLY College Fair in Dubuque will be September 18th from 6-8pm at Loras College!! Over 100 colleges and universities will be present to answer your questions and share information with you. Also, look for upcoming information on colleges and careers on the bulletin outside of the cafeteria.

CAREER EXPLORATION: Interested in a career as a police officer or law enforcement? This is your chance to explore the career firsthand with the Dubuque Police Department Exploring Post. You will learn what it takes to pursue the career and participate in hands-on projects such as crime scene investigation, patrol techniques, fingerprinting, firearms handling and safety and much more. The first meeting is Wednesday, Sept. 18th at 6:00 at the Dubuque Police Dept. Stop in guidance for an application and more info.
