CONGRATULATIONS TO THE 2013 PROM COURT!!!

Voting for the 2013 Prom King and Queen will open at NOON on Monday, April 8th, and will close at NOON on Thursday, April 11th.

SENIORS: In order to receive your cap and gown for commencement, your student fees need to be paid in full by May 16th. Please remember to take care of this early so it is not a burden to you or your parents at the last minute.

SENIORS: Jostens will be here Tuesday, April 16th during all 4 lunches to hand out Graduation announcements that were ordered earlier in the year.

NEW LOCAL SCHOLARSHIP: The Great Draw Scholarship - Applicants must be attending a two- or four-year college and plan to major/minor in the visual or graphic arts. Applicants must already be accepted to their school of choice and be able to provide a copy of their acceptance letter. More information and the application can be found in the School Counseling Office.

CHEMISTRY OLYMPICS: The Chemistry Olympics team will meet Wednesday, April 10th at 3:15 p.m. in Room B241. Ms. G will not be at school that day, but we will have practice as soon as I can get here after school. Bring your best minds and hands - we only have two weeks left to learn our stuff!

GUEST FORMS FOR PROM: Guest forms for Prom are now available in the AP office and online at the Senior High School website. The guest forms are due no later than Thursday, April 11th.

ATTENTION SENIORS: Who Do NOT Plan on attending college right after high school - Want to learn on the job through apprenticeship programs, make a decent wage, and receive medical benefits, and become a skilled worker without going to college? You need to check out the following apprenticeship opportunities to become a skilled sheet metal worker, a licensed electrician, or work for the Railroad. Must be 18 to begin the training, but you should apply now to be considered for hiring after graduation. Stop in guidance for more information -This is a great opportunity for the right person!

RENAISSANCE STAMPING: Students that were on the Red & Blue Renaissance at any time during the year should stop by the AP Office for your Renaissance t-shirt while supplies last!

Test Exemption: 11th, 10th & 9th graders on the Red & Blue Renaissance need to make sure your IDs are stamped in the 4th quadrant in order to exempt from a semester final. Stop in the AP Office to get your ID stamped no later than April 26th.

GAY STRAIGHT ALLIANCE MEETING: April is Sexual Assault Awareness month. There will be many activities taking place this month. Our first event is today, April 9th at Loras College. They will be showing the “Bully” movie with discussion to follow, 7-9 p.m., place TBA. All are encouraged to attend. The Senior GSA will be attending this. Please see Mrs. Wiederholt in room A117 for more information.
