MEN’S SWIMMING FAN BUS: Students! We are offering a fan bus to the Men's Swim Championships in Marshalltown this Saturday. The cost will be $21 and includes your admission. Bus will leave around 7 am and return around 8 pm. Sign up in the Activities before lunch TODAY. We need 44 people to go on this trip. You must pay when you sign up. If we don't have enough interest your money will be returned to you. GO RAMS!
SPANISH CLUB: Spanish Club's next meeting will be this Tuesday, February 12 from 7:10-7:30 a.m. in room E40. We will be discussing winter & spring activities as well as Valentine's Day activities.
CONGRATULATIONS: Pooja Patel, Antonique Burnett and Shelby Davis for being selected as a 2012-2013 winners of the National Center of Women & Information Technology Award for Aspirations in Computing Iowa Affiliate.
These students are being recognized for their computing-related aspirations and for their demonstrated, outstanding aptitude and interest in information technology/computing; solid leadership ability; good academic history; and plans for post-secondary education. They will be honored at an awards ceremony on Iowa State's campus in April.
Congratulations! You make the Ram Fam proud!
ATTENTION SENIORS: Looking for scholarship monies….please come to the School Counseling Office to pick up your “Senior Application” for this year’s Awards Assembly.
The return deadline for the Senior Applications is Tuesday February 19th, 2013. If you have questions, please see Ms. Lawrence.
WENDY’S COMMUNITY DAYS: Every 3rd Wednesday from 5-7 p.m. Wendy’s will donate 10% of all sales to SENIOR HS Gay/Straight Alliance. This will continue through May. This only takes place at the Wendy’s on 16th and Kerper. Stop in or drive thru for a burger and frosty. You will be helping to support Senior HS GSA. Thank you!

THE STUDENT BUILT HOUSE PROJECT IS BACK!!
Attention: Any former or current Construction student.
After being gone for several years, the Student Built House Project is going to be back for next school year. If you are a student who has taken any Construction classes, or has a strong Construction background, and would be interested in taking the Student House Project, please see Mr. Kress or your guidance counselor for details. This is a yearlong course that has Senior High credits as well as NICC college credits. Register for this class along with your other classes. Spots are limited.
UPPER ROOM MEETING: We welcome students to join us every Friday at 7 am in the gym lobby. Get there early for a game and treats!
SADIE HAWKINS DANCE DATE CHANGE: Attention to all students planning to attend the 2013 Sadie Hawkins Dance! Due to a scheduling conflict, it will now take place on March 2nd in the Nora Gym from 8 PM – 11PM. The theme will be “Cupid Shuffle.” Thank you for your flexibility!!
SADIE HAWKINS GUEST FORMS: Sadie Hawkins Dance is March 2nd. If you think you would like to bring a guest who does not attend Senior High School, please stop in the AP office to pick up a guest form. The forms need to be returned to the AP office by Friday, February 22nd.
TALENT SHOW: The 2013 Talent Show will be held on Thursday, February 28th at 7:00 p.m. in the auditorium. Cost is $2.00. Mini shows will be on Friday, March 1st during 2nd and 4th periods.
GAY STRAIGHT ALLIANCE MEETING: The Gay Straight Alliance will be meeting EVERY THURSDAY after school in room A117. Everyone is welcome….bring a friend! We are currently selling bracelets for $2. Proceeds will be used for group activities for our members. Stop by A117 and get your bracelet today!
