FYI: If you are planning to participate in two sports next year (excluding baseball and softball) and wish to exempt from Wellness class, you need to pick-up a form in the guidance office or main office. The form needs to be signed by a parent and returned to the main office. If you have any questions, please see your guidance counselor.
PROM TICKETS: Junior/Senior Prom tickets are now on sale in the Business Office before and after school and between classes. The cost is $15 per ticket. The Dance will be held at the Grand River Center from 9:00 P.M. until midnight on Saturday, April 14, 2012. All students attending Prom will need to have a current school I.D. to enter.
FYI: The Nora Gymnasium will be closed to all students leaving the building. Please exit through the cafeteria or other supervised areas.
PENNY DRIVE: On Thursday, April 26th we will be holding our Penny Drive!!! Due to the construction happening at Dalzell, the Penny Drive assembly will be held within the school. Activities include dodge ball, 3 on 3 basketball, beanbags, tug-o-war, dunk tank, the Senior Relay and other fun activities. Tickets will be sold for $1 in the StuCo Zone, at lunch, the week of Penny Drive, April 23rd through the 26th. All proceeds from this years Penny Drive will go to the Dubuque Humane Society. PROM KING AND QUEEN: Voting for Prom King and Queen will last until 12:00p.m. on Wednesday, April 11th. Seniors vote for one male for Prom King and one female for Prom Queen.
INFORMATION FROM THE NURSE:
On April 13th, the VNA dental hygienist will be at Senior from 7:45-11:15 AM to do dental screenings for 9th grade students who did not return the state required dental form to school. The health office will distribute passes to those students involved in this program.
Students who will need a sports/activity physical for the 2012-2013 school year, Clarke college will be offering free sports physicals at Senior High School on April 24th from 12:30 to 2:30. Stop by the health office to pick up the required permission slips or for more information.
