GSA – Day of Silence –Friday, April 16th, you may hear fewer voices in the halls. Some students will be participating in the “The Day of Silence.” This is a national youth movement bringing attention to the silence faced by lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people and their allies. Their deliberate silence echoes that silence, which is caused by bullying, name-calling and harassment. They believe that ending the silence is the first step towards building awareness and making a commitment to address these injustices. Think about the voices you will not be hearing Friday. If you are interested in participating, there will be a short meeting in room A224 right after school on Thursday.
