Tuesday, January 20th

 

The 2021 Pink Out will be on Thursday, February 4^th at the Women’s Basketball game vs Wahlert, as well as on Friday, February 5th at the Men’s Basketball game vs. Wahlert. We will be having the Pink Out this year for the Art and Sandy Wille Family. Art has colon cancer and has had multiple rounds of chemotherapy. His son Jon plays on the sophomore basketball team. Talking to Art's wife Sandy, she told me Art has returned to work and loves going to Jon's basketball games. We can all hope that Art continues to have energy to go to work and enjoy a Tuesday or Friday night in Nora Gym.

 

 

All of the proceeds from the Pink Out will go to the Wille Family.

Lifetouch School Pictures:

Online Students, we want to let you know that school pictures are scheduled for Wednesday, Jan. 20 and Thursday, Jan. 21. Lifetouch will be on campus to take your picture for our 20-21 Dubuque Senior High School yearbook. On these days you will also be able to pick up guided notes for your second semester online classes.


When you arrive at Dubuque Senior to pick up your guided notes and get your picture taken, you will enter the lower gym doors, as you did to pick up your laptop at the beginning of the school year. Please do not go to the main entrance.


We believe it is important to have everyone's picture in our 20-21 school yearbook, and the guided notes for online classes are extremely helpful, so it is important that you stop in the lower gym on either day.

Lifetouch School Pictures:

Congratulations to Eagle Scout Luke Busch who recently passed his Eagle Board of Review. This is the highest award in scouting.  Luke's Eagle Project are the record boards in the wrestling room. These signs recognize the rich tradition of Ram wrestling.

Spectators at indoor INTER-CITY EVENTS and FOOTBALL games will be significantly limited due to COVID-19.

 

We will be handing out wristbands for each particular home event through the Activities Office. Away events are at the discretion of the away host team.

The wristband is NOT paid admission to the event, it allows you to purchase a ticket at the event.  Those with a wristband will still pay admission at the gate or show their activity pass (students) to enter the venue.

 

Order of priority for wristband distribution: Participant Families, DBQ Senior Students, General Public.

 

Student/Participants involved in each particular event will be given wristbands for their families. 

 

Students

A certain number of wristbands will be made available for students to acquire – 1 per student.  Wristbands will be available during the following times for students:

Seniors – Before 1^st period until 3:15 pm

Juniors – After 3^rd period until 3:15 pm

Sophomores – After 4^th period until 3:15 pm

Freshman – After 5^th period until 3:15 pm

 

Wristbands that we offer to students will be done over A and B days, plus allow for virtual students the opportunity to get them .  We will start offering the student wristbands to seniors, then juniors, and so on.  If our allotment for A day is 35, for example, and 35 seniors acquire them…..that is all we have for A day.  Repeat process for B day.

 

 A certain number of wristbands will be made available to the visiting team. 

 

 Overall, what does this mean for general public?   Not many, IF any, wristbands will be left over for general public on some or all nights.

 Sporting Event Spectator Home Game Protocols

 

 

Spectators at indoor INTER-CITY EVENTS and FOOTBALL games will be significantly limited due to COVID-19.

 

We will be handing out wristbands for each particular home event through the Activities Office. Away events are at the discretion of the away host team.

The wristband is NOT paid admission to the event, it allows you to purchase a ticket at the event.  Those with a wristband will still pay admission at the gate or show their activity pass (students) to enter the venue.

 

Order of priority for wristband distribution: Participant Families, DBQ Senior Students, General Public.

 

Student/Participants involved in each particular event will be given wristbands for their families. 

 

Students

A certain number of wristbands will be made available for students to acquire – 1 per student.  Wristbands will be available during the following times for students:

Seniors – Before 1^st period until 3:15 pm

Juniors – After 3^rd period until 3:15 pm

Sophomores – After 4^th period until 3:15 pm

Freshman – After 5^th period until 3:15 pm

 

Wristbands that we offer to students will be done over A and B days, plus allow for virtual students the opportunity to get them .  We will start offering the student wristbands to seniors, then juniors, and so on.  If our allotment for A day is 35, for example, and 35 seniors acquire them…..that is all we have for A day.  Repeat process for B day.

 

 A certain number of wristbands will be made available to the visiting team. 

 

 Overall, what does this mean for general public?   Not many, IF any, wristbands will be left over for general public on some or all nights.

 

As is the case with all things during the pandemic…..this is the plan for now, and it is subject to change
