Congratulations to the Men’s Swim Team on their runner-up finish at the 2015 District Meet in Clinton. The Rams finished just behind district champion Bettendorf in a team race that came down to the final event. The swimmers were led by John Colin’s 2 district titles in the 100 Free and 100 Back. At districts, the team also qualified 8 swimmers—Jack Benda, Andrew Breitfelder, Ben Colin, John Colin, Brandon Sindt, Drake Stierman, Nick Topping, and Brad Ware—in 13 events for the state meet next weekend.

Congratulations to the Rams Wrestlers who wrestled this weekend in the JV Mississippi Valley Conference Championship tournament. The Freshman/Sophomore division took down tough competition and finished well ahead of Hempstead and Wahlert.

Alex Richard was crowned the MVC conference champion at 132 pounds. Coming in at 2nd place were Matt Connolly and Demarcus Johnson at 170 pounds.

Also finishing tough for the Rams were, Cameron Steffen, Jared Ensign, Collin Donovan, Sean Kerkenbush, Spencer Schilling, Thomas Welborn, Michael Welborn, Isaiah Jones and Mikey Koch.

Congratulations Rams on an awesome season and good luck to the varsity team this Saturday at the district tournament in Cedar Rapids.

Attention: Students who have been invited to the leadership training on Thursday February 12th, please return your permission slip to the main office. If you have any questions please see Ms. Saunders in room A223.

Anyone interested in going out for softball and is a pitcher or catcher is encouraged to attend the preseason workouts in the indoor track Tuesday and Thursday from 6:30 to 8:00. If you have any questions contact Coach Brandel.

There will be a Model UN meeting on Tuesday, February 10th at 7:15 in B139. If you are unable to attend see Ms. Weiland for our upcoming conference. ​

You've heard of "Man Crush Monday"...but Monday doesn't work for Man Pageant...so come to the 9th Annual Senior Man Pageant on WEDNESDAY, February 11th at 7:00pm in the Auditorium! This year's contests will be Landon Kraus, Chris Sullivan, Alex Kerkenbush, Andrew Reinert, Bradley Ware, Drake Stierman, Nate Thormann, Brandon Pfab, Francis Mihm, Noah Lucy, and Logan Eigenberger. Join the National Honor Society for a night of good-hearted fun with these young men with additional entertainment from Unscripted and musical theater groups! Tickets are $5.00 or $3.00 with your stamped Renaissance card - All proceeds go to the Iowa Children's Miracle Network. See you Wednesday night!

Any student who signed up for an Academic or Athletic Wellness Exemption for next year to pick up an exemption form in the Main Office. These need to be signed by a parent and returned by February 13th.

Do you need a quiet place to study? Someone to help you with a project? A place to take a test or quiz you missed? If so, please consider attending FAST this Friday, February 13th from 7:30-8:30 in the Senior library. Please see Mrs. Brokus with any questions.

Attention Seniors:

Looking for scholarship monies….please come to the School Counseling Office to pick up your “Senior Application” for this year’s Senior Awards Assembly that is held in May.   The return deadline for the Senior Application is Friday March 2nd, 2015. Late applications will not be accepted.   If you have questions, please see Ms. Lawrence.

Application forms for the next session of Driver's Ed may be picked up at the Business Office beginning today, January 26th. Forms may not be turned back in until February 16th.

ATTENTION ALL STUDENTS!

The first official practice for Track & Field is next Monday, February 16th! MAKE SURE you stop in the Activities Office to get signed up – even if you are currently doing a winter sport. You will need all required paperwork and a current physical before you can start to practice!!

There will be a Men's Track Meeting Thursday, Feb. 12th in the Library at 2:45 pm.

Auditions for the 2015 Dubuque Senior Talent Show are fast approaching!! The talent show is your chance to be center stage and in the spotlight – and win some great prizes! We are looking for talented singers, dancers, comedians, musicians and more. If you can lip sync to Beyoncé’s “Single Ladies” or make a rabbit appear out of a hat or saw a small child in half or juggle fire or lift an entire car with one hand, you should audition! Auditions are today and tomorrow. See you at auditions!

​​Attention Senior! We would like to congratulate all blood donors again for donating at our Fall Blood Drive and setting the Dubuque record of 84 units. Our annual Spring Blood is coming up again and will be held Friday, March 27th. If you will be 16 years of age aby the time of the Blood Drive, you are eligible to participate. Permission and Information sheets will be available February 16th in the stucco zone during lunch. Permission sheets must be signed by a parent or guardian and brought to the mandatory donor meeting during either A or D study on Tuesday March 24th. Remember, every donation saves 3 lives.

The Dubuque Community Y is looking for creative, responsible people to be a part of a team that provides fun and educational activities for K-5th graders. This before/after school program is held at various schools sites throughout Dubuque.
