SNOWCOMING Tickets are on sale now in the business office. Tickets are $10 for a single ticket and $20 for a guest ticket. Purchasing a guest ticket gets admission for both you and your guest into the dance. Guest tickets must be purchased by the end of the school day on Thursday! Picture ID's are required for all visiting guests!

Monday evening, March 9th parents and junior students are invited to a presentation at 6:30 p.m. in the auditorium. Representatives from various colleges, Iowa Workforce, and ICAN will be discussing how to best prepare and look at options for “Life Beyond High School”.

Men’s and Women’s Soccer will have Open Gym Monday, March 2nd. Women’s Soccer will have Open Gym 6-7:30p.m. and Men’s Soccer will be from 7:30 – 9:00.

The Discovery Club will be hiking at Governor Dodge State Park to see the waterfall, canyon, lakes, and nature on Saturday, March 7 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Please see Ms. Pfohl or Ms. Koch for details and a permission slip.

Women’s Golf: There will be an informational meeting on Tuesday, March 3rd at 2:30 in Coach Oxley’s room, B143. See Coach Oxley if you have any questions!

Congratulations to the Dubuque Senior Speech Team on a fantastic showing at the All-State Large Group Festival at Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa. For only the third time in Dubuque Senior history, the school claimed 3 Critic's Choice banners.

Congratulations to Mason Bauer who shot a 497 to win the District Individual Bowling title and is the only Senior student to advance to the Men’s Bowling State Tournament in Des Moines on Wed Feb 25th. CONGRATULATIONS AND GOOD LUCK to MASON!

The February RAMPAGE is hitting the halls during 4th period and will be delivered to teachers for their 5th period classes today. Papers are delivered to the room in which the teacher is during 5th, so look for them on the desk if you move rooms.

Please pass the papers directly to students and suggest that they take a copy home to their family!​ If you don't have a class, you can get a copy of the RAMPAGE in the main office, print center or library.

A new group of journalism students are writing for the RAMPAGE this semester, and they are doing excellent work. Please continue to recognize all students for their contributions and/or being featured in the RAMPAGE. DSHS has an AMAZING staff and student body, and the RAMPAGE and ECHO are perfect examples of the terrific academics and activities at our wonderful school. It is always good to celebrate our successes, so be my guest and shout out to anyone you recognize!

Special thanks to the RAM Booster Club for helping fund this project, along with the RAMPAGE advertisers and Union Hoermann Press who prints the paper at a very reasonable price.

If your season is over, you NEED to clean out your sports locker BEFORE Thursday, February 19th. These lockers need to be assigned to spring sports. Even if you are doing a spring sport, you are not allowed to keep the locker you are currently in. Please remove ALL items from your locker and if you have one, return your padlock to the Activities Office so you don’t get charged for it.

Congratulations to the Rams wrestlers who finished off their season with a hard fought battle at the 3A district tournament Saturday in Cedar Rapids.

Notching wins for the Rams were: Dan Thoma, Matt Connolly, Marty Steffen, Nate Huinker and Nick Herber.

Wrestling their last matches for the Rams this season were:

Dan Thoma, Marty Steffen, Luke Hoerner, Joe Budde, Jared Ensign and Demarcus Johnson. Congratulations on all of your successes and best of luck going forward.

Information on the wrestling banquet and offseason tournament schedule will be announced soon.

Congratulations to the Men’s Swim Team on their 4th place finish at the state meet this Saturday. The team was led by a trio of runner-up finishes by Ben Colin in the 200 Free and 500 Free and John Colin in the 100 Back along with third place relay finishes from the 200 Medley Relay of John Colin, Andrew Breitfelder, Drake Stierman and Brandon Sindt and the 400 Free Relay team of Ben Colin, Nick Topping, Drake Stierman, and John Colin. In addition to placing well at the state meet, new school records were set in the 200 Medley, 500 Free, and 100 Back. Congratulations again to all of the swimmers on a great state meet and a great season!

There will be an Art Club meeting this Wednesday, February, 18th after school. We will meet from 2:30-3:15 in the Art Room (B 61).

With 11 funny, handsome, and talented contestants...it's no surprise that there was A TIE at the end of the 9th annual Man Pageant! Last night Francis Mihm and Noah Lucy were both awarded the title of Senior's Top Man ... it sounds like there will have to be a tie-breaker next year! Senior's National Honor Society would like to thank everyone who helped make the night a success... $839.00 was raised for the Iowa Children's Miracle Network.

Tickets to the MEN’S STATE SWIM MEET are now available in the Activities Office. Travel to Marshalltown this coming Saturday, February 14th to cheer on our Men’s Swimmers as they go for the STATE TITLE!!

SPRING ATHLETES
If you are going to be participating in Track & Field, Soccer, Tennis, or Women’s Golf - make sure you stop in the Activities Office to get signed up and make sure you have all of the required paperwork turned in BEFORE the first official practice. If you need participation forms, they are available in the Activities Office or on the Dubuque Senior Rams Website.  Telling your coach you are going out for a sport does NOT mean you are signed up!

If you have not taken the Impact Concussion Test, this is also required before you can start to practice. Please stop in the Activities Office for more information.

If you can lip sync to Beyoncé’s “Single Ladies” or make a rabbit appear out of a hat or saw a small child in half or juggle fire or lift an entire car with one hand, you should audition! Auditions are today and tomorrow. See you at auditions!

Congratulations to the Men’s Swim Team on their runner-up finish at the 2015 District Meet in Clinton. The Rams finished just behind district champion Bettendorf in a team race that came down to the final event. The swimmers were led by John Colin’s 2 district titles in the 100 Free and 100 Back. At districts, the team also qualified 8 swimmers—Jack Benda, Andrew Breitfelder, Ben Colin, John Colin, Brandon Sindt, Drake Stierman, Nick Topping, and Brad Ware—in 13 events for the state meet next weekend.

Congratulations to the Rams Wrestlers who wrestled this weekend in the JV Mississippi Valley Conference Championship tournament. The Freshman/Sophomore division took down tough competition and finished well ahead of Hempstead and Wahlert.

Alex Richard was crowned the MVC conference champion at 132 pounds. Coming in at 2nd place were Matt Connolly and Demarcus Johnson at 170 pounds.

Also finishing tough for the Rams were, Cameron Steffen, Jared Ensign, Collin Donovan, Sean Kerkenbush, Spencer Schilling, Thomas Welborn, Michael Welborn, Isaiah Jones and Mikey Koch.

Congratulations Rams on an awesome season and good luck to the varsity team this Saturday at the district tournament in Cedar Rapids.

Our annual Spring Blood is coming up again and will be held Friday, March 27th. If you will be 16 years of age aby the time of the Blood Drive, you are eligible to participate. Permission and Information sheets will be available February 16th in the stucco zone during lunch. Permission sheets must be signed by a parent or guardian and brought to the mandatory donor meeting during either A or D study on Tuesday March 24th. Remember, every donation saves 3 lives.
