IM 3v3 BASKETBALL FINALS:
Wednesday, February 20th, 7:30 pm
There are 4 teams left in the finals.
We will be finishing up and crowning a victor.

DRIVER EDUCATION APPLICATIONS: Driver Education Applications are now available in the Business Office window and Guidance Office. Class dates are March 18-May 9. Registration will be accepted at the Senior Business Office on a first come-first serve basis beginning at 7:10 a.m. on February 19th. No early registrations will be accepted.

SADIE HAWKINS EVENTS:
DANCE: The Sadie Hawkins dance will take place on Saturday, March 2nd from 8-11. The theme is Cupid Shuffle. Pictures start at 5:30 in the indoor track.

MOVIE NIGHT: The Sadie's movie night will be on Monday, February 25 at 7pm. It will be at Mindframe and we will be showing "Pitch Perfect". It's free, but make sure you bring your student ID to get in.

DRESS-UP DAYS: There will be dress up days for Sadies from Feb 25th to March 1. Monday's theme is pajama day, Tuesday is rainbow day, Wednesday is twin day, Thursday is Valentine's day-themed, and Friday is Lil Abner/Daisy Mae day. Check out the posters in the hallway for more information.

SADIE HAWKINS DANCE DATE CHANGE: Attention to all students planning to attend the 2013 Sadie Hawkins Dance! Due to a scheduling conflict, it will now take place on March 2nd in the Nora Gym from 8 PM – 11PM. The theme will be “Cupid Shuffle.” Thank you for your flexibility!!

SADIE HAWKINS GUEST FORMS: Sadie Hawkins Dance is March 2nd. If you think you would like to bring a guest who does not attend Senior High School, please stop in the AP office to pick up a guest form. The forms need to be returned to the AP office by Friday, February 22nd.

MAN PAGEANT: Do you like to look at manly men in swim attire and tuxedos?? Then come to the man pageant on Wednesday, February 20th at 7:00 in the auditorium! Cost is $5.00 per ticket - or $3.00 with your Renaissance Card! See you there!

SOCCER OPEN GYMS: Attention Boys and Girls Soccer players! Each Monday night until soccer season begins, both soccer programs will hold open gyms. Typically, the schedule will be as follows: Women’s Soccer from 7 – 8:30 p.m.
Men’s Soccer from 8:30 – 10 p.m.

SCIENCE BOWL MEETING: Dubuque Senior Science Bowl team's next meeting will be Tuesday, February 19th. We will meet from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. in Room B241 after school. Our main objective with this meeting will be to plan for the Science Olympiad on March 23. Information on events and competition rules will be provided and we will be signing up teams for each event. Come show off your inner Science Geek!

TALENT SHOW: The 2013 Talent Show will be held on Thursday, February 28th at 7:00 p.m. in the auditorium. Cost is $2.00. Mini shows will be on Friday, March 1st during 2nd and 4th periods The mini shows will be completely free for classes registered to attend.

CHEMISTRY OLYMPICS: Dubuque Senior's Loras Chemistry Olympics team will have its first meeting on Wednesday, February 20th from 2:40 to 5 p.m. in Room B241. We will be signing up teams for each of the lab competitions and each team will then have the opportunity to practice for their event using their best lab skills in titration, density evaluation, and chemical analysis. Attendance will be taken to ensure that we have the most well-trained team members for the big competition in April. Please let Ms. G. know if you signed up but will not be able to attend.

GSA T-SHIRT SALES: Gay/Straight Alliance is selling t-shirts. You can pick up an order form in room A117, Guidance, or the main office. We are selling them all week. Please fill out a form and return it, along with your money to Mrs. Wiederholt in room A117. The forms/money are due back TODAY. Any questions see Mrs. Wiederholt. Thank you for your support!

SEEKING JUNIOR AND SENIOR GIRLS: The University of Iowa Society of Women Engineers are seeking 11th and 12th grade girls to attend a weekend conference that allows them to learn more about the career of engineering, visit the U of I, explore the College of Engineering and interact with SWE. This conference takes place the first weekend in April. If interested, please contact the School Counseling Office.

RENAISSANCE STAMPING: Stamping for the 1st semester has started. Please bring your ID to room A201, the Plan Room, to get it stamped. You can receive discounts on dance tickets and from local businesses.

ATTENTION SENIORS: Looking for scholarship monies….please come to the School Counseling Office to pick up your “Senior Application” for this year’s Awards Assembly.

The return deadline for the Senior Applications is Tuesday February 19th, 2013. If you have questions, please see Ms. Lawrence.

UPPER ROOM MEETING: Nelson Jenkins from Hope Church will be our speaker this week. Join up at 7 am in the gym lobby. We always have treats and play a game!

WENDY’S COMMUNITY DAYS: Every 3rd Wednesday from 5-7 p.m. Wendy’s will donate 10% of all sales to SENIOR HS Gay/Straight Alliance. This will continue through May. This only takes place at the Wendy’s on 16th and Kerper. Stop in or drive thru for a burger and frosty. You will be helping to support Senior HS GSA. Thank you!

GAY STRAIGHT ALLIANCE MEETING: The Gay Straight Alliance will be meeting EVERY THURSDAY after school in room A117. Everyone is welcome….bring a friend! We are currently selling bracelets for $2. Proceeds will be used for group activities for our members. Stop by A117 and get your bracelet today!
