The girls swimming and diving team beat Hempstead in a dual meet on Tuesday 127-57. The girls won 11 of 12 events en route to the victory. Event winners included Jenna Willer, Frances Inzenhofer, Alice Tsui, Molly Johannsen, Camryn Leeser, Ellie Shearer, Emma Sass, Julia Stierman, and Sydney Smith. The swim team also won the JV competition 103-52.

Driver's Education Forms are now available in the Business Office for the next class which starts on October 26th. Classes will run through December 17th and are available in the morning before school or after school. Please stop by the Business Office for any questions!

FAST will be held this Friday from 7:30 to 8:30 in the Senior library. If you need help with a test/quiz, assignment, or a quiet place to study, please be at the cafeteria doors this Friday at 7:30 for FAST. Hope to see you there.

Students will NOT be allowed to bring backpacks into games at Nora Gym or Dalzell Field. Please leave those things in your vehicle or lockers. Bags will be taken and kept in the ticket office until the end of the contests. The best plan is to not bring them at all.

Women’s Swimming and Diving Senior Night: The Women’s Swimming and Diving team will be hosting our annual Senior night tonight, September 29, at Hempstead pool. We will be recognizing our seniors and taking on Hempstead in a dual meet at 6 PM. We’re hoping to pack the pool as we look to extend our streak of intracity dual meet wins to 9.

Make sure to congratulate the newest Senior Intramural Champs this week. The first event of the year was a great success, and the Castle Crashers came out victorious, with a 5-0 record.

We hope you learned more about our College of the Week, LUTHER College of DECORAH, IA this week. Luther has a 12 to 1 student to faculty ratio. All classes are taught by faculty, not graduate assistants. 95% of Luther's faculty live within 5 miles of the campus. There are a lot of great things to see at Luther - check them out and see if they are an option for you!

Luther College, our College of the Week, was once again recognized this year as one of the top Fulbright Scholar producing schools in the US. Likewise, Luther has had 8 Rhodes Scholars, more than all other Iowa Conference schools combined. Not sure what that means? Check it out online....pretty impressive ;)

The early bird wellness make up sessions start on Thursday, September 24th at 7:00 am in Nora gym. It will be held only on Thursday mornings for the remainder of the semester. The boys golf team won their meet yesterday at Bunker Hill with a great score of 148 over Cedar Falls and CR Prairie. Jakob Kirman and Louis Psihoyos were medalists for the Rams with a one over par 36. Jack Vandermillen shot 37 and Gus Zuccaro 39.

Key Club: Key Club participation in the Dragon Boat Races has been canceled again, for those of you who signed up. Key Club will not participate in the Dragon Boat activity at Miller Park this weekend.

Interact Club is a volunteer organization sponsored by the local Rotary Club and we will have our first meeting this Tuesday at 7:10 in B143. We hope to see you there!

Men’s Golf: Andrew Remakel had a hole in one at golf practice at Bunker Hill on Tuesday. He aced the 160 yard, hole #7. This was Andrew’s first career hole in one. CONGRATS, Andrew!

National Honors Society students--If you enjoy helping others learn volunteering as a FAST student tutor is the place for you. If interested in volunteering Friday mornings from 7:30-8:30, please see Mrs. Fischer or Mrs. Brokus. FAST begins this Friday.

Don't like to sleep in on Fridays? Need help with writing a speech, studying for a test, or completing a project? Then, FAST(Friday Academic Support Time) is for you. Please come to FAST any or every Friday from 7:30 to 8:30 in the Senior library. The only entrance that will be used for FAST is the cafeteria entrance. Hope to see you there this Friday!
