Movember campaign: Grow a Mo save a bro: The state of men’s health is in crisis. Men experience worse longer-term health than women and die on average six years earlier. Prostate cancer rates will double in the next 15 years. Testicular cancer rates have already doubled in the last 50. Three quarters of suicides are men. Poor mental health leads to half a million men taking their own life every year. That’s one every minute. If you’re a male staff or teacher and would like to participate please contact Mr. Dolson know in i-JAG. It’s easy, grow a moustache and get your picture taken to help support men’s health.

Our fathers, partners, brothers and friends are facing this health crisis and it’s not being talked about. We can’t afford to stay silent. We’re taking action and need your help!
The 4th annual Dubuque Senior Euchre Tournament will be held on Wednesday, November 30th from 6 to 8 pm in the library. Students and Staff members wishing to participate must sign up with a partner in guidance no later than Monday, November 28th. All who wish to participate are responsible for learning the rules prior to the tournament. House rules for the tournament are located in the guidance office as well. If you have any questions, please see Ms. Sheehan, Mr. Leytem, or a member of student council.

The new book club book is in! Stop by the library to get your copy of The Impossible Knife of Memory by Laurie Halse Anderson. Haley struggles with how to balance her own life as a teenager and how to help her father who has PTSD from serving in Iraq. A limited number of copies are available, so get yours soon.

Students…. please remember that you are not allowed to use our gyms/weight room without proper supervision. Students cannot be in the gyms or athletic areas without a faculty sponsor/supervisor. Students in those areas unsupervised will be sent home.
