STUDENT NEWS

Attention Sophomores: On Monday April 3, during A& D Lunch Frank from Josten’s will be holding a Class Ring presentation in the Auditorium. Frank will give away 2 hoodies at each presentation.

Jostens will be back on April 7th to collect Class Ring orders during all lunches outside the cafeteria.

Attention Seniors: Jostens will be here on Tuesday, April 11th during all lunches, outside the cafeteria to distribute graduation announcement and senior class items.

If you would like a 2016-2017 yearbook, You MUST order by FRIDAY! WE are NOT ordering any extra books this year, so this is your last chance. You can stop by the Business Office or the Student Payment Portal.

Ram Women’s Track : Congratulations to the Ram Women’s Track team on their

fine efforts in last nights Waverly Invitational. The Rams placed second out of nine teams and won four events.

Event winners were: Mackenzie Gaherty in the 3000 Meter Run, Grace Gudenkauf in the High Jump and the team of

Stevie Lambe, Hannah Cook, Marissa Boleyn, and Emma Sass won the 4 X 200 and 4 X 400 relays.

The Ram Junior Varsity performed well also by winning four events: JV winners were Stacy Kloft in the 800, Abby Connolly in the 100 Hurdles and the 4 X 800 team of Victoria Healy, Tessa Easley, Josie Stackis and Grace Ries and Finally the 4 X 100 Relay team of Sydney Smith, Ava Romagna, Anna Brondyke, and Abby Connolly. Great Job Ram Women’s Track.

Student Run Help Desk: Are You Interested in Careers in Technology?

Dubuque Senior High School will be offering an Independent Study Course to start next fall for students interested in technology careers. We will have an informational meeting Wednesday, April 5th at 7:10 A.M. in the Library. If you are unable to attend, and would like more information, contact Mr. Bishop in D140, or email him at cbishop@dbqschools.org.

Attention Seniors, the make-up CPR session for seniors is Friday, March 31st at 7:00 am in Nora gym. This is the last CPR make up session offered at senior for the school year. Contact Mrs. Riley if you have questions.

The 8th Annual Grey Ribbon Crusade
will be taking place on Monday, May 29th. This run to fight brain cancer continues as a memorial to honor former DBQ Senior High School track coach and staff member, Jim Boughton and his hard work and legacy of achievement he left behind. It is also used as an avenue to continue the fight against brain related cancers by donating all of it proceeds to help others fight brain cancer.

There is a Kids mile race, a 5K race/walk, followed by a 1 mile race –with all races finishing on the Dalzell track. Please stop in the Activities Office or visit www.greyribbondubuque.org to get registered today!

The Discovery Club is hiking at Whitewater Canyon on Sunday, April 2nd from noon to 3:00 p.m. Come and join us to see the spectacular view from the overlook, the land bridge, and the Valley of the 13 Caves. Bring your friends along. Contact Ms. Pfohl and Ms. Koch for more info.
