STUDENT NEWS 

Attention all 12th grade students.  On Tuesday, November 12th we will have a graduation meeting to vote for staff speakers, turn in height and weight for your cap and gown, and other items that will be addressed as well.  This will occur in the auditorium during Flex Time.  Please bring a pencil with you.

 

Hey Rams….Today during support time, there will be a mandatory Blood Drive meeting that will be held in room C120.  At this meeting you will be signing up for your time to donate on November 8th, so it is important that you attend this meeting.  Bring your signed permission slips to the meeting if you haven’t turned it in already, if you need to still pick one up they will be at the meeting as well to be turned in no later than Wednesday November 6th.  Please remember to Flexisched yourself into either Mr. Leytem’s or Mr. Miller’s support time today.

 

The Dubuque Senior Speech Team will be holding open auditions next week, November 11-14 in Room A209.  Go to dubuqueseniordrama.com to choose an audition time and fill out an audition form or see Mr. Ernzen (B237) or Mr. Dean (A209) for more details.   Come join an amazing team.  See you there!! 

 

Attention math enthusiasts:  Senior will compete in the Team Scramble competition on Thursday November 7th during Support time.  This is a team competition consisting of 100 math problems in 30 minutes.  All levels are welcome!  Sign up in FlexTime with Mrs. Ward in D160 or talk to your math teacher. 


 
ACTIVITIES  


There will be a Bowling meeting Thursday, November 7th at 6:00p.m in the Cafeteria.  Any questions contact Ken Gerken.

 

This is an invitation for you to come to Open Wrestling, on Tuesdays and Thursdays @ 6pm.  We wrestle to improve or just try it out.  This year will go to 7 separate girls only tournaments.  Any questions ask Coach Connolly in Room E10. 

 

Students – it’s NOW time to sign up for WINTER SPORTS!!!!  Even if you are currently in a sport and are going to be doing a winter sport – you need to sign up now!!  Come to the Activities Office to make sure you have all of the required paperwork needed to sign up.  Don’t wait until the last day!  The following sports start on November 11th – Women’s Basketball, Men’s and Women’s Bowling, and Men’s Swimming.  The following sports start on November 18th – Men’s Basketball, Wrestling, and Winter Cheerleading (yes, cheerleaders you need to let us know if you’re switching to winter cheer!!).

 

Don’t WAIT – get signed up NOW for Winter Sports in the Activities Office!!

 

ACTIVITIES  


Juniors & Seniors:  The School Counseling Office will be visiting Kirkwood Community College on Thursday, November 7th, grab a permission slip in the Counseling Office if interested.
