STUDENT NEWS

The Tri-State Magic Club will meet this Sunday evening at 6:30. Meeting will be held at the Hy-Vee on Locust Street, in their conference room. The club is very interested in bringing in some high school students who would like to learn and see magic.

Attention writers and artists. The Dubuque Area Writers Guild is currently accepting submissions for their annual Gallery book project. Works of poetry, fiction, nonfiction, artwork and photography are all eligible. If interested, please see Mrs. Williams in A213 for details. Deadline is April 1st!

LOST and FOUND:  Found Items are plying up in the Plans Room, please stop in to see if any of these ITEMS are yours.  We have lunch boxes to winter coats and everything in between.  Any items left behind will be taken to Goodwill on Thursday. 

Stop by the Library and Vote for your favorite Iowa High School Book this week.  You can also nominate books you would like to see added to future lists! 

With our extended school day, the library will also have extended hours.  The Library is now open from 7:00-3:20pm. 

Attention Seniors!  Jostens will be back at school on Tuesday, March 19th outside the cafeteria to deliver your graduation items.  Please know that all bills must be paid in full prior to picking up your graduation items.  Cash or money orders are the only forms of payment excepted at school on Tuesday, IF you would like to pay by credit card please call 1-800-Jostens

Students of this year’s Graduating class.   

This year’s Senior High Awards Assembly will be on Monday May 20th, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. in the Senior High Auditorium.  We have a variety of scholarships (Memorial, Community/School, and Specific College Sponsored) that are available for our Senior High graduating students in the class of 2019.   

Applications were emailed to your parents.  If you did not see that email, please stop by The School Counseling Office to have an application sent to your email address.  There will be a sign up sheet that you will need to put your name and email address.  Mrs. Lawrence will then send you the electronic application to complete. 

You will need to fill out our application form electronically and electronically submit the completed PDF application to Mrs. Lawrence at llawrence@dbqschools.org by Wednesday March 20th, 2019 at 2:30 p.m. No late applications will be accepted.  


ACTIVITIES

Volleyball Open Gyms will be on Tuesdays from 7:00pm-9:00 pm in the Lower Gym beginning on April 2nd. 

There will be a Pre-Season Women’s Soccer meeting TODAY @ 3:00 pm in the Cafeteria.

Students – are you going out for a Spring Sport?  If so, get signed up now in the Activities Office to make sure you have all of the required paperwork that is needed.  Women’s Soccer starts on March 18th.  Get signed up TODAY!!   There will be a Women’s Tennis meeting on Monday, March 18th @ 6:00pm in the STUCO Room.
