CONGRATULATIONS: Congratulations to Kenny Capesius, Sam Compton and Mitch Heacock who were all recognized the National Merit Scholarship Program with a letter of Commendation for their scores on the PSAT test. Great job guys.

REMINDERS ON HOMECOMING DANCE: Saturday, Oct. 15th, 2011, 8:00 p.m.
One guest only must be cleared through the Business Office prior to Friday.
Dance will end promptly at 11:00 p.m. Line up rides ahead of time.
No one will be admitted after 9:00 p.m.
Student ID cards will be required for admission to the dance. This includes Senior students and guests. Guests must have a valid ID from their home school.
No middle school students are allowed at Senior High School’s dances.

REMINDERS FOR FRIDAY NIGHT’S FOOTBALL GAME WITH CEDAR FALLS:

Students will be admitted to the game by showing their Activity Pass. Students that do not have an Activity Pass will be required to buy a $5.00 ticket.

ID Cards – Students are required to have their ID Card in their possession at the game. Failure to provide the card if asked will result in dismissal from the stadium.

Senior is the home team. Treat cheerleaders, band, and other spectators with proper respect. Please remain on the home side throughout the game. Also, throwing of objects in the stands is not allowed. Fans violating this policy may be removed from game.

Please, stand at attention during the National Anthem. Also, if you are wearing a hat at this time, remove it.

Signs, balloons, posters, balls, and skateboards are not allowed in the stadium. Leave them at home!

No loitering will be allowed behind the concession area. Please stay in the stands and watch the game.

When the game ends, do not run onto the field. Please allow the teams to shake hands and the losing team to leave the field. After this has taken place, you can celebrate with our team.

HOMECOMING INFO: October 10 - October 14: Dance tickets are on sale in the Business Office. Tickets are $10.00 per person. Remember to sign up guests through the Business Office by noon on Thursday, October 13th. (Students must have I.D. to get into the dance. (*No one admitted after 9:00 p.m.*)

Tuesday, October 11: CLASS DISTINCITON DAY. Every class will wear its different colors. NO HATS ALLOWED.
Freshmen: Black
Sophomores: White
Juniors: Blue
Seniors: Red
Faculty and Staff: Orange

Wednesday, October 12: TWIN DAY. Find a friend and dress the same. NO HATS ALLOWED!!!

Thursday, October 13: BACKWARDS DAY. Wear your clothes backwards. NO HATS ALLOWED.

Friday, October 14: SCHOOL SPIRIT DAY. Wear your best red and blue clothing to show your school spirit!

DISCOVERY CLUB: We will be meeting Thursday morning in B249 to talk about the upcoming hike to Whitewater Canyon. A permission slip is needed so stop by Mrs. Koch or Ms Pfohl's rooms to pick one up if you can not make the meeting. Check out our display case in the science hallway- there are many more activities coming up so do not miss out!

PARKING: The Junior lot has parking spaces available. 10th grade students and 11th grade students may stop by the Business Office and pick up a form to apply for parking in the Junior lot.

PSAT: We have filled all spots at this time. If you are still interested, stop in the school counseling office to be put on our will call list for the day of the test. You will be called to the small gym and need to be ready to test at that time.

NICC DRIVER EDUCATION: Forms are available in the Business Office, Main Office and Guidance.
