RENAISSANCE PROGRAM: Congratulations to all 829 students that qualified for the Renaissance Program. ALL STUDENTS need to check in at the Renaissance table in the cafeteria TODAY to see if they qualify for the Renaissance Program. Do not wait until it is dance time or time to exempt for semester test, you need to get your ID stamped now. Depending on the level you achieved, you will receive a Renaissance pen, a stamp on your ID, a Renaissance incentive card (containing several discounts and freebies) and a t-shirt if you did not receive one for this school year.

WENDY’S/AMERICAN TRUST MEN’S BASKETBALL CLASSIC: This Saturday, the Wendy’s/American Trust Men’s Basketball Classic will be held. As part of the Classic, the Ram sophomore team will play Madison LaFollette at 5:45 p.m. at Hempstead. There will be no admission for this game. The varsity men’s team will play LaFollette at 8:00 p.m. at Loras College and admission for students will be $4.00. This price is good for all day, which includes six games, with the first game at Loras starting at 11:15 a.m. So, six games for the price of one.

SUMMER JOBS: Part-time summer jobs are available through the Leisure Services Dept. Great way to make money and have fun this summer. Check out the job posting on the Guidance bulletin board or stop in Guidance for info.

BADMINTON: Everyone get ready for Intramural Double's Badminton on Tues. Feb. 9th in the Nora Gym, right after school. Sign up your teams with Ms. Borgwardt as soon as possible to reserve your teams spot.

ATTENTION SENIORS: Stop by Guidance to pick up your ‘Senior Application’. This application makes you eligible for the scholarships that are awarded to the Seniors at the annual “Senior Awards Assembly” that is in May. The return deadline is Monday February 15th.

BUS TO STATE MEET: Saturday, February 13th, the Men’s Swim State Meet will be held in Marshalltown. We would like to line up a fan bus to go to the State Meet to cheer on the Rams to another State title. The cost of the bus and a ticket is $30.00. If you are interested in taking the bus to the Men’s State Swim Meet on Saturday, Feb., 13th, please bring an envelope to the Activity Office with your name on it and exactly $30.00 in it. The deadline will be noon Thursday, Feb. 11th.

NEED HELP WITH YOUR STUDIES? AmeriCorps Volunteers are available in the School Counseling Office Monday - Thursday until 3:00. They are also available during the day at specific times (see your School Counselor for schedule). This gives you the opportunity to come during your study hall or free time for extra help. AmeriCorps Volunteers are college students that take time out of their day to come help mentor and tutor students in need. Please see your School Counselor to set up a time that works for you to keep those grades up!
