STUDENT NEWS

If you are signed up for AP World History you must attend one of the mandatory meeting being held  Wednesday, May 23rd before school at 7:15 or after school at 2:30 or Thursday May 24th before school at 7:15 in B140 . If you are unable to attend one of the meetings, see Mr. Miller by the end of the week.

Students:  The last day for the Bistro to be open will be this Friday, May 25th. 

Parking lottery sign up for next year has begun.  Student’s that will be in 11th grade for the 2018-19 school year may stop by the AP Office and sign up for the parking lottery.  Names will be announced in August at Registration, for students that will be able to purchase parking stickers. 

The DSHS Key Club will be holding a bake sale TODAY during all lunch periods.  Items will be priced at a dollar each and all the proceeds will be donated to the Marjory Stoneman Douglas Scholarship fund in memory of the victims of the February 14th shooting in Parkland Florida.  Come support this great cause and enjoy some delicious baked goods!


 If you are signed up to take AP US History in the 2018-2019 school year, please plan on attending one of the following meetings to pick up summer reading materials.

Meetings will be held in B129. If you unable to attend one of the sessions, please stop by B129 and see Mrs. Weiland for materials.

ACTIVITIES

RAMS Wrestling:  There will be a meeting TODAYMay 22nd at 2:30 in E10 Metals Room.  This is open to new and past wrestlers and managers.  Come get information and learn about being a Ram Wrestler!  If you cannot attend, contact Coach Connolly or Coach Kohl. 

Swimming Meetings: 

The Women’s Swimming and Diving Team will have an informational meeting on Tuesday, May 22nd in room B142 at 7:15 AM or 2:30 PM.  Any returning or interested athletes are encouraged to attend and learn about summer training opportunities and August practice schedules.  If you are unable to attend, please see Coach Huff before the end of the school year. 

The Men’s Swim Team will have an informational meeting on Wednesday, May 23rd in room B142 at 7:15 AM or 2:30 PM.  Again, any returning or interested athletes are encouraged to attend to learn about summer and fall training opportunities.  If you are unable to attend, please see Coach Huff before the end of the school year.

Student/Athletes – were you given a padlock to use during your sports season?  If so, you need to return the padlock to the Activities office or you may be charged for it.  Thank you!

Are you taking the ACT in JUNE? Or maybe just sometime in the future? Come join us for FREE ACT prep session next week! Jason Derby will be back to give you great ACT prep strategies for FREE after school in B149 on Mondays and Wednesdays starting May 14th and ending May 23rd.
