STUDENT NEWS


The GSA will meet in Room E45 on Thursday, April 19th at 7:05am. Please join us to hang out with friends and discuss issues.

SENIORS! Check your school issued email!! There is a request to let us know your after graduation plans. This will be used to advertise within our school and celebrate your accomplishments!! Please have that done this week!!

STUCO ZONE

 Have you bought your Prom tickets yet?  Are you bringing a guest from another school?  Remember that TODAY is the last day to buy your ticket if you are bringing a guest from another school.  Your ticket must be purchased by 3pm today, no exceptions!


Senior student tickets may still be purchased in advance through Friday for $15 and will be available at the door for $20.  ONLY Senior students can purchase tickets at the door!


ACTIVITIES

Any senior playing for the Senior High baseball team this summer can pick up a Scott Althoff Scholarship application from Mr. Fleming inn room A-211. This is a $500 scholarship in honor of former Ram Scott Alhtoff who was killed in a hit and run accident. Applications are due back to Mr. Fleming by April 24.

Are you interested in going out for Softball this summer?  If so, make sure you get signed up in the Activities Office and attend the following Player/Parent Meetings (even if you are in a spring sport):

Softball – Monday, April 30th , 6:30 pm in the cafeteria

COUNSELORS OFFICE

The School Counseling Office will be hosting another Future Ready Talk this Thursday during A or D study time. This week's topic will be Career Discovery: How to find the Best Option for you! Please schedule yourself through FlexiSched.

 This session is best suited for Juniors, but Sophomores are welcome!

JOBS

Swiss Colony in Peosta is looking for summer help.  You must be 16 to be a lineworker and must be 18 to be a forklift driver.   Wages are between $11 and $16 an hour depending on the job.   Apply by calling 80048SWISS.

Do you like to work outside in the construction field?  Would you like "on the job training" while earning money?  If so, Evergreen Construction Co is seeking individuals 16 or older who are responsible, willing to learn, and are ambitious.  They will train you how to assemble building materials used for construction. No prior experience necessary - just the right attitude and work ethic.  If this sounds like something, you would like to do - stop in the counseling office - in D152 for more information.
