Attention seniors that are playing on the Ram baseball team this summer
: Your application for the $500 Althoff scholarship is due no later than Tuesday, April 25! Please drop it off to Mr. Fleming in Room A-211. Winner of the scholarship will be announced Monday, May 15.

Renaissance card
are now being handed in the AP office for this last quarter. If you plan on exempting a semester final, make sure you get your Renaissance card.

Friends of Homacho (FoH),
a small, local non-profit dedicated to providing resources for the village of Homacho, Ethiopia, is hosting its 3rd Annual H2OforFoH Water Walk Relay. The event will take place on May 6, 2017, at Murphy Park in Dubuque, Iowa. The relay starts at 9:00 and will be completed before 10:30. You can sign up as a team or as an individual. Participants will carry two buckets of water around the paved road at Murphy Park before relaying them to another person if you are part of a team. Each individual will be asked to make three laps around the park to simulate women and girls in Homacho carrying water 1.5 miles almost daily. The registration fee is $20. That will include a t-shirt. Bananas and bagels will be provided. You are encouraged to bring your own water bottle to fill there. Proceeds will go to benefit the work of FoH.

Upper Room would like to invite all students to come pray and learn about Jesus. Upper Room is moving its meeting area to the locker room/training room of Dalzell Field. We will be meeting on the Hempstead locker room side of the building. Upper Room will still meet at its usual time of 7:00 on Tuesday mornings.

Hey Rams!! I have a very special announcement from your Student Council in regards to the Ram Fam Assembly tomorrow. Simply put, its going to be amazing. So here are the top 3 reasons why you don’t want to miss out on the fun!

Reason number 1: Mini golf!! There will be 9 holes of golf to test your skills

Reason number 2: Inflatables such as leaps and bounds, a giants obstacles course to challenge your friends on and an incredibly large slide!

Reason number 3
: Tug-O-War, 3 on 3 basketball and plenty of minute to win it games for you to set some new school records! Also, back by popular demand is NHS’s famous “what would you do for a Klondike Bar” challenge.

Trust me you don’t want to miss out on this assembly! See you after 5th hour tomorrow on Dalzell field!

This year at Friday's Ram Fam assembly
, we are going to offer 3-on-3 Basketball and tug-o-war! Each team must have at least one girl and one boy. For 3-on-3 basketball, only one varsity basketball player (male or female) is allowed per team, and team must be no larger than 3 people. The maximum size for tug of war is 6 students. Teachers are more than welcome to compete on teams. You can sign up in guidance, the main office, or the stuco zone during all lunches!


Advance-sale Junior/Senior Prom tickets are now on sale in the business office through April 21.

The cost is $15 for students and the price goes up to $20 at the door, so buy in advance!

Guest tickets are no longer available, as the deadline was Wednesday.

All Dubuque Senior students will need their 2016-2017 double-sided student ID with photo and guests will need a photo ID to be admitted to the dance. There will be no exceptions at the door, so plan ahead!

Attention students going to Prom: Weber Photography will be taking pictures again this year. Order forms and pricing information can be found in the Main Office.

ACTIVITIES


On Tuesday, the Ram's women track team ran strong at the Mustang Relays and finished second as a team.

1st place finishers were:   Stevie Lambe in the 200 meter dash

2nd place finishes were:   Makenzie Gerherty in the 3000 meter run
                                            Lauren Miller in the 800 meter run
                                            Stevie Lambe in the 100m dash
                                            Grace Gudenkauf in the High Jump
The 4 x 200 relay of Stevie Lambe, Hanna Cook, Marissa Boleyn and Emma Sass.
The Sprint Medaly relay Emma Lambe, Hanna Cook, Marissa Boleyn and Emma Sass.

3rd places finishers were:  Makenzie Gerherty in the 1500 meter run
The 4x 400 relay of Stevie Lambe, Hanna Cook, Marissa Boleyn and Laruen Miller.
The 4 x 800 relay of Mia Rampton, Lauren Miller Grace Reis and Katie Miron.

The 8th Annual Grey Ribbon Crusade will be taking place on Monday, May 29th. This run to fight brain cancer continues as a memorial to honor former DBQ Senior High School track coach and staff member, Jim Boughton and his hard work and legacy of achievement he left behind. It is also used as an avenue to continue the fight against brain related cancers by donating all of it proceeds to help others fight brain cancer.

There is a Kids mile race, a 5K race/walk, followed by a 1 mile race –with all races finishing on the Dalzell track. Please stop in the Activities Office or visit www.greyribbondubuque.org to get registered today!

Students, are you going out for Baseball or Softball? If so make sure you stop in the Activities Office to get signed up. Baseball starts on May 1st and Softball starts May 8th. Hit a home run and get signed up today!
