ACT DEADLINE for DECEMBER test! If you are planning to take or retake the ACT in December; the regular deadline (to avoid late fees) to get signed up is THIS FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 4th! Please see your School Counselor for the resources you need to get registered or if you need help!

Congratulations to the students who participated in the DMACC Automotive Skills Competition. They placed in the top eight schools in the state and will advance to the hands on portion in December. Way to go guys!

On October 25th and 26th, 6 members of Model UN represented the region at the Iowa Youth Symposium. They were Josie Mills, Sydney Ringold, Mollie Phalen, Mary Hartel, Allie Pinchuk, and Lauren Pinchuk. Of the 75 students present on day 1, 8 are named Outstanding Delegates for the state. Give 3 Ram claps to Josie Mills and Sydney Ringold for being named Outstanding Delegates

Cheerleading Tryouts: We will be holding a Freshman basketball ball & wrestling cheer clinic on Tuesday, November 1st from 5:30-7:30. Tryouts will be Wednesday, November 2nd at 4:30. Students meet by the trophy case outside Nora gym. Any questions please contact coach Mayberry.

All 9th, 10th, and 11th graders will be taking the Iowa Tests next Tuesday and Wednesday morning, Nov 1st and 2nd. Be sure to bring a calculator and pencil for the testing. Eat a healthy breakfast and get plenty of rest before the testing. Our goal is to be the top scorer in the Dubuque high schools. Go Rams!

The Annual Fall Blood Drive is coming up! It will be held on November 18. You can sign up in the StuCo Zone during all lunches starting Wednesday, October 26. In order to sign up, you must be at least 16 years old and 110 lbs. The mandatory meeting will be held on Tuesday, November 15 during A and D study in Room B138.

Do you ever get to school in the morning and think –I didn’t have breakfast this morning!! Well, NO WORRIES! Your very own Senior High Cafeteria ALWAYS has breakfast – what better way to start your morning than with a healthy breakfast to get your brain started on the right track. Check out the TV Monitors in the hallways and in the cafeteria to see what special items will be available each day. Breakfast items are served until 10:30 every morning. And don’t forget – BREAKFAST IS THE MOST IMPORTANT MEAL OF THE DAY!!

Sam's Club is looking for part time workers - must be 16 ~ starting pay is $10 per hour. Apply online or in the store.

Other openings include Chipolte, Long Horn Saddlery, McDonald’s, Shopko, and Sundown.

Seniors - It's time to send in your photos for the yearbook! Please email a jpeg file of your senior picture to dubuquesenior@gmail.com. Once your photo has been received, you will receive a confirmation email. Full color photos are required. Photos are due by April 1. Please see Mrs. Jackman in E45 with questions.

RAMS tutors--
Please remember to be in the RAMS area during your free period on Mondays and Wednesdays. We are having more and more students come to RAMS for assistance. We need you. Thank you for the support you give your fellow students!

STUDENTS: If you are interested in going out for a Winter Sport – you need to stop by the Activities Office to get signed up. Winter Sports include: Boys/Girls Basketball, Boys/Girls Bowling, Wrestling, and Boys Swimming.

Winter Sports start in the beginning of November, so please get signed up early – DON’T wait until the last minute! IF you participated in one of these sports last year – you STILL need to come to the Activities Office to sign up.
