Congratulations to the Men’s Swim Team on their victory at the Clinton Holiday Invite. The swimmers won the meet by nearly 100 points and won 6 of the 11 events. Special congratulations to John Colin for setting a new meet record in the 100 Backstroke as part of his 4 event wins on the day.


Iowa State University:
Sara Redmond - a current student at Iowa State University - will be in the School Counseling Office at 8:30am on Tuesday, Dec 22nd to talk to interested students. Sara is a sophomore student studying Agricultural Business with a Communication Studies minor. Come visit Sara if you are interested in ISU or her studies.


Gap Year - Clarissa Dietz, a 2015 graduate of Senior - will be here to talk to students about her decision to take a "gap year" after graduating from high school. Clarissa decided to dedicate her time to travel and service. Hear about her adventures on Tuesday, Dec 22nd at 10:15am.


Future visits: Nick Psihoyos and Aleisha Norton, 2015 Senior Grads, will be in our office Jan 6th to talk about the University of Iowa. More info available when we return from break!


HEADS UP FOR SCHEDULE CHANGES FOR SECOND SEMESTER!

Students – ALL schedule changes for your 2nd semester schedule MUST be made by Friday, January 15, 2016! Please make an appointment NOW with your School Counselor if you need to review your 2nd semester schedule. Changes will NOT be allowed once 2nd semester begins! Thank you!!

PINK OUT: Tuesday, January 5th will be the annual “PinkOut” basketball game against Hempstead. We will be selling Pink Out t-shirts in support of our very own Ram, Mike Wulfekuhle. Mike is a veteran social studies teacher and former coach at Dubuque Senior High School and has been battling lung cancer. He and his family will be recognized at the basketball game the night of January 5th.

Please join us in supporting Mike by purchasing a Pink Out t-shirt (order forms can be found on the Senior High website or in the Activities Office). All proceeds will be donated to the American Cancer Society and or former “Pink Out” honorees still battling cancer.

Order forms and payments can be turned into the Main Office. Let’s get our RAM FAM together and support Mr. Wulfekuhle in his battle against cancer!

Seniors - The ECHO Yearbook Staff needs your Senior Photos. The January 15th deadline is drawing dangerously close and we only have about 30 photos. This is your year to really stand out! Don't miss your chance! Make sure you photo has been emailed to either dubuquesenior@gmail.com or sjackman@dbqschools.org by January 15th, 2016. The Booster Club has new styles of sweatshirts, t-shirts, leggings, hats, and even a nice comfy blanket!  Check out the display case across the hall from the Activities Office to see what’s available.

Items will be available to staff/parents any time during the day, however it will ONLY be available to students before or after school.

New Job Posting: Klosterman Accountants are looking for a student to be an administrative assistant beginning in January. Duties include filing, greeting customers, assembling tax returns, and answering phones. Hours are after school till 7 p.m. and Saturdays 8-noon. If interested check out bulletin board or stop in guidance office.

Many businesses are looking for part-time workers - new ones just posted on bulletin board by guidance office are Tony Roma's, Grand River Center, and Dubuque Specialty Care. Dubuque Specialty Care is paying $9 an hour to start and jobs are evenings 4:15 - 7:15 and every other weekend. No late hours and great starting pay. Check these out in guidance!
