Guidance office is looking for a student who does not have a 1st hour to run passes. If interested, please stop in Guidance.

NHS will have a brief meeting on Monday, October 21st during A/D study times. Please see Mrs. Fischer if you are unable to attend.

Senior NICC Driver Education Class: Turn in your Registration Form to the Business Office by Friday October 18th. Class start date is Monday October 28th.

Attention to all that ordered an American Cancer Society T-shirt from the volleyball team. They will be available for pickup in room A128 after 7th hour today.

SCIENCE BOWL: Dubuque Senior’s Science Bowl team will meet after school on Thursday, October 17th in Room B241 from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. Come practice your science trivia knowledge!

All students planning on attending the Youth Core Leadership trip to Four Mounds on Oct.22nd PLEASE stop by room 223 to confirm with Ms.Saunders and pick up permission slips!!

College Application Week: Help the School Counseling Office celebrate College Application Week! Statewide high schools are celebrating this week throughout the month of October. Our celebration will be October 21st-23rd.

On Monday, you will notice that our staff will have sign hanging in or outside of their classrooms and offices. Ask them about where they attended college and their experiences after high school!

On Tuesday, dress in your favorite college apparel!! Support your favorite college by sporting their colors. No hats please!

On Wednesday, our seniors will have the opportunity to get into the Write Place to start or complete applications to colleges. School counselors and college representatives will be on site to help!

This is a great time, no matter what year you are, to think about what you want to be doing after graduation. Talk to people about their experiences! You’ve already started your journey – let us help you keep moving in the right direction.

Career Exploration: Have you ever thought about exploring the world of Fashion Design, Engineering, Architecture, Law Enforcement, Cosmetology, Auto Mechanic, or the Skilled Trades? All of these Exploring Programs begin in October so now is your chance! Stop in guidance office for more information.

The Gay/Straight Alliance: meets every Thursday in room A117 after school at 2:20. GSA is a group of students here at Senior who promote diversity. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend a meeting. Hope to see you there. Any questions see Mrs. Wiederholt in room A117.

Wendy’s Community Day: The first Wednesday of each month at Wendy’s is Dubuque Senior Gay/Straight Alliance night. From the hours of 5 – 7 the Wendy’s on 16th and Kerper will donate 10% of all sales. This is a fantastic way to support Senior, the Gay/Straight Alliance and our Ram students. Stop in, grab a bite to eat and say hello. The next one is November 6th. Thank you in advance.
