FREE WAY TO FUN CITY BRACELETS: Again this summer, Every Child Every Promise will provide interested students with a bracelet that will allow for FREE travel on Dubuque’s Jule bus system throughout the summer. The program starts June 1st and runs through September 2nd.

Bracelets are available in the main office. If you have a bracelet from a previous year, there is no need to get a new one -- it will work again this summer.

MEN’S TRACK: Men's track athlete….Please turn in uniforms at the activities office, or to one of the track coaches, or bring to the potluck awards dinners on Tuesday, May 28th at 6:15 p.m. in the cafeteria.

LIBRARY INFORMATION: The library will close for the year Friday, May 24th. All books are due back at this time. Please return them to the library. Keep reading over the summer. See you next year!

AP US HISTORY MEETING: If you are signed up to take AP US History in the 2013-14 school year, please plan on attending one of the following meetings to pick up summer reading materials.
Meeting options are:
Wednesday, May 22 at 2:25
Thursday, May 23 at 7:15 or 2:25
Or Friday, May 24 at 7:15
All meeting options will be held in B139. If you unable to attend one of the sessions, please stop by B139 and see Mrs. Weiland for materials.

AP COMP MEETING: The AP Composition meeting for summer readings will be held on Wednesday, May 29th at 2:20 in the Auditorium. If students have a conflict, please see Mrs. Koch in A-226.

AP LIT MEETING: All students registered for AP Literature for next year need to attend the informational meeting in D-153 on Thursday May 30th at 2:30. You will receive summer reading information at this meeting.

RENAISSANCE ALERT: 9th, 10th and 11th Renaissance students who plan on exempting from a Semester Test Final you must…Must…MUST sign up with your teacher no later than Wednesday, May 29th. Repeat: Test Exempt sign-up no later than May 29th.

PROM COURT PICTURES: There are still prom court pictures in the main office. If you haven’t done so already, please stop by and pick up your pictures if you were on the prom court!

COLOR GUARD AUDITIONS: The Dubuque Senior High School Color Guard is currently holding audition rehearsals and try-outs. The team is looking for great new talent and no previous experience is required. The auditions are open to all 8th through 11th graders who will be attending Senior in the fall. Please stop in the main office for a rehearsal schedule and more information….Thank you, Melissa Lyon, DSHS Color Guard Director

4th ANNUAL GREY RIBBON CRUSADE: Come join us for a 5K, 1 Mile or Kids run in memory of Jim Boughton and all who are in the fight against brain cancer. The race date is Saturday, May 25th. Kids fun run starts at 8 a.m., 5K race starts at 8:20 a.m. and 1 mile race to follow. The entry fee is $25 after May 15th. Entry forms are available in the Activities Office and Main Office.

UPPER ROOM MEETING: Join us Friday when Carissa Duehr will speak to our group at 7 am in the gym lobby.

GAY STRAIGHT ALLIANCE MEETING: Gay/Straight Alliance meets every Thursday at 2:20 p.m. in room A117. Everyone is welcome….bring a friend!
