HOMECOMING DANCE TICKETS: Homecoming dance tickets are on sale at the Business Office during passing and before and after school. Students bringing guests who are not Senior High School students must purchase their guest ticket at the Business Office prior to 3 pm on Wednesday. Senior students can purchase dance tickets at the Business office through Thursday. Tickets will also be available at the door for Senior students only. Tickets are $10.00 per person. Students must have an I.D. to get into the dance. (*No one admitted after 9:00 p.m.*)

HOMECOMING WEEK SPIRIT DAYS AND ACTIVITIES
HATS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED THIS YEAR DURING DRESS UP DAYS.

Wednesday, October 10: CLASS DISTINCTION DAY. Wear the assigned color for your class.
NO HATS ALLOWED!!!
· Freshmen: Black
· Sophomores: White
· Juniors: Blue
· Seniors: Red
· Faculty and Staff: Orange

Thursday, October 11: SCHOOL SPIRIT DAY. Wear your best red and blue clothing to show your school spirit! Make sure you really deck out in your best Senior attire. Go RAMS!!! Appropriate hats are allowed (they must support Senior or Senior’s colors).

Saturday, October 13:
DANCE:
· 8:00 p.m. – 11 p.m. in the Nora Gym.
· There will be a coatroom for a small cost. Please encourage students to use it to keep their valuables safe.
· No one will be admitted after 9:00 p.m.
· Weber Photography will be available for pictures starting at 5:00 p.m. in the Indoor Track.

THANK YOU!: We would like to publicly thank everyone who helped make this years Ram Marching Band season successful including the DSHS Music Booster Corporation, all parent volunteers, the DSHS custodial staff and the DSHS Administration for all of their support. Also our business sponsors including the Colts Drum and Bugle Corps, Kephart's Music Center, the DRA and Mediacom, and West Music. Thank you one and all very much!!! The Ram Marching Band and Color guard performed their "Shades of Latin" show at the State Marching Band Contest this last Saturday and received divisional I ratings across the board and received a final score of 76.3, placing very far into the divisional I rating system. We are proud of our students and their accomplishments - thank you everyone for your support!! Mr. Rowley

WOMEN’S SOCCER MEETING: Any girls interested in Women's Soccer in the spring should attend a short meeting on Monday, October 15, 2012 at 2:20 pm (immediately after school).
The meeting will be held in the cafeteria right after school.

MODEL UN MEETING: Model UN will have an informational meeting on Thursday, October 18th at 7:15 a.m. in the cafeteria. Stop by if you are interested in joining our club or if you just want more information. We will also be discussing our spring conference. Hope to see you there!

JOB OPENINGS: K-mart is looking for part-time employees for a variety of positions. Stop in guidance if interested.

DISCOVERY CLUB OUTING: The Discovery Club is going to the Maquoketa Caves on Sunday, October 14th. See Ms. Pfohl or Ms. Koch for information, which needs to be returned by Thursday, October 11th.

UPPER ROOM MEETING: "Never have I ever" was a wild game last week! The Upper Room club will meet on THURSDAY this week. Come at 7 am for a crazy game. We always have food!

CAREER EXPLORATION: If you have an interest in about careers in cosmetology, check out the explorer post beginning Oct. 16th at the Capri College. You will meet once a week through March and get hands-on experiences with makeup, facials, pedicures, manicures, hair design, and massage therapy. For more information, stop in guidance.

RAM APPAREAL SALES: Attention Ram Fams! The Rams Booster Club will be selling clothing at the next HOME football game versus Waterloo East. Stop by the Booster Club booth on the upper concourse at the UD stadium to get your Rams apparel.

RAM APPAREAL LUNCH SALES: Ram Fans! The Rams Booster Club will be selling clothing items at LUNCH TODAY. Get stocked up on Ram apparel for Homecoming!

GSA MEETING: The GSA will be meeting every 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month. The meetings are @ 2:20pm in room A117. Everyone is welcome. If you have any questions see Mrs. Wiederholt in room A117.

PSAT TESTING: Attention Juniors, the PSAT test is now full. Juniors who signed up for the PSAT should report to the small gym on Wednesday the 17th at 7:30am.
